Rome (150 BC-425 AD), Byzantium (425 AD - 1453) Imperial China-Mongol (1125 - 1902),The British Empire (1600-1945)
Lots of empires last longer.
The first time we expanded out of our original colonies.
IMHO I’d say after WW2 when most of the world turned to us to solve their problems.
One thing I would disagree with the author on is his contention China isn’t looking to expand militarily past their borders. I have read articles about Chinese military posts being set up in Africa as well as there is speculation they are looking to set one up near the Caribbean.
I fear those amongst us who seek to destroy what we became are too arrogant and ignorant to realize the future they are going to create.
America is not an empire. every four or eight years, we change... that is the difference.

Sorry, but the 17th amendment created an empire.
When were the southern states ever sovereign nations prior to the existence of the United States? You could argue Texas was, but it petitioned to join the U.S. almost immediately after declaring independence from Mexico.
The USA as a country has (and had) interests and possessions all over the world, and has exerted its power and influence in organizations like NATO and the UN. By assuming the role of "the world's policeman" and "superpower", the USA is/was an empire of influence.
Rome was an empire even while it was a republic. It expanded and had interests from Rome itself throughout all Italy and on into France and Spain and to Africa and the east. It didn't have emperors yet, but would have been considered an empire nonetheless. When they defeated Carthage they virtually owned the Mediterranean as an empire would.
Not a consensus, but a moral ethics is required. Ben Franklin made that statement. America failed in 1913. the 16th Amendmendment gave the poor the right to rob the producers and the 17th took away the rights of the states to protect themselves from the cities full of the poor, stupid bastards, with no morals.
Cultures collapse when people think it can’t happen.
Not unless we allow GOD BACK INTO THE COUNTRY!
He is coming back.
Our downfall is immigration. The conspirators knew exactly how to accomplish it.
Steve Bannon has a sign that says: “There are NO conspiracies but there are NO coincidences.”
Now here is a man who proclaims to boldly confront the deep state, but then is cowed into submitting to deep state propaganda about “conspiracy theories.”
Conspiracy is a term written into our legal codes, and is illegal. Conspiracy refers to people getting together and agreeing to PLAN illegalities. So Bannon is saying that PLANNING doesn’t occur, but s*it happens, that all these events just come out of nowhere.
And all the while, he daily explains how conspiracies are damaging America.
What’s dead is the will to fight back. One thing I admire about the DemoMarxist domestic enemies is they DO, they take immediate action while Republicans just talk talk talk.
America Is An Empire?
News to be me, since we don’t own and control half of the planet like we could if we were truly an Empire.
What we are is a country that is filled with a bunch of self hating and country hating people, all for the purposes of being more easily controlled.
Key word: Empire.
Last I checked, the USA is not an ‘empire.’
If that’s the case, we haven’t had our run yet.
If I had to draw a comparison, I would compare us to Rome. Political corruption…..rot from within, weakening the foundation until the structure can no longer stand.
A nation that began with 13 colonies like Christ and His 12 disciples..
And a nation that has grown to 50 states, a number affiliated with the birth of the church, have a different track then most ‘empires’..
But it does have a Satan problem.
But so does the church.
It does have a Laodicean problem.
But so does the church.
It has its share of Ahab’s and Jezebel’s in its government..
So did Israel.
The cool thing about America is that we get rid of our government every two years. The empire only lasts that long before being ditched for a new one.
As long as I and many others that haven’t been born yet believe in America, it will never “die “.
