The Real Battle Over Education

When Democrat Terry McAuliffe said he didn’t want parents to have influence over their children’s education, it wasn’t a gaffe; he meant it.

The new totalitarians cannot abide by freedom, especially freedom of education which ensures parents have influence over their children’s education and, therefore, future. The allies of the new totalitarians, however, agree with McAuliffe and other Bolsheviks.

The real reason is because education shapes and molds people; if the educational juggernaut has complete control over education, they have complete control over the next generation, and, therefore, complete control over the future of American society.

Education, as envisioned by leftists, is about control. It’s about power. It’s about propaganda. It’s about ensuring their vision of remaking society is safe and secure.

There are two competing strands of education. The public school system and elite aristocratic control of prestigious institutions like my alma mater Yale, is about indoctrinating the next generation into what to properly believe and how to properly act on those beliefs. There is no free enquiry of the mind or soul. Education is put to the service of the politics of activism and reform, the politics of remaking society and knowing what to remake because of one’s education.

The other strand of education goes back to Christianity with antecedent roots in Greece and Rome. We call this humanistic education. It came into its mature form in the Late Renaissance and emerged in its highest form in Protestant England (Cambridge and Oxford, when they were good schools to attend) and brought to America with the arrival of the Puritans and their establishment of Harvard and Yale (when they were good schools).

If your local school board is going to force your kids into remote learning, why would you go to your local schools to provide it?

There are plenty of other remote learning providers.

When an opponent declares, “I will not come over to your side,” I calmly say, “Your child belongs to us already...What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community.”
— Adolf Hitler

That would be the effective counter measure to teachers who don’t want to resume in-person learning. They can be replaced online by people from all over the country, and all over the world.

Some of those Hitler excerpts are simply astonishing. A few can as well be attributed to Stalin.

The author raises good points but overlooks the biggest one of all.

It's nice to discuss these distinctions between two different schools of thought in the world of education, but the sorry truth in the U.S. today is that the "education establishment" serves neither purpose. It only exists to employ millions of so-called "professionals" -- at the expense of taxpayers -- who would otherwise be unemployable in any honest line of work.

If they were really focused on indoctrination, they'd care more about getting their asses into the classrooms.

Some of these ideas go even further back...

PROVERBS 22:6 KJV

Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

If they can’t indoctrinate, they’ll settle for ignorant. Which remote learning achieves nicely.

Deep State isn’t picky.

A lot of social issues we are dealing with now stem from 8 years of Obama led education.

YES!!! It may cost a couple of hundred bucks a month, but there are some really good ones out there!

Cut back on other expenses and get out of public education! LUonline offers partial college tuition and dual enrollment classes for their online high schoolers.

Most private schools will work with you in costs (and online schools are not that expensive!)

Don’t want indoctrinated children? Get them out of public school.

“IndoctriNation is real.”

Sure is... Warned about this over 30 years ago and was called a crazy tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist, and that it “can never happen here”.

I was witnessing it in real time with my own kids back then.

Yes they did. But only because we waged a serious counter campaign. We had to deprogram them everyday with “What did you learn today? Well it is a lie, ask your teacher about this”.

Many many meetings with teachers and the supervisor. Many many hours of deprogramming after school.

I guess I could not help it. I was indoctrinated myself in school, but it was the opposite direction. I was indoctrinated with Constitutionalism and individual rights. We had to know the Constitution like the back of our hands and pass a test in the 8th grade as a requirement to even advance into High School. 9th grade and first year of high school was the beginning of my political activism. So I was already deep into anticommunist activism with a very alert radar system by the time my kids were born.
