Sonoma County is the first Bay Area county to restrict gatherings in response to the spread of the omicron variant in the region.
On Monday, the county banned indoor gatherings of more than 50 people and outdoor gatherings of more than 100 people while asking residents to "stay home as much as possible for the next 30 days and limit interactions with those outside of their immediate household."
“Our case rates are at their highest level since the pandemic began and our hospitalizations are climbing at an alarming rate as well,” health officer Dr. Sundari Mase said in a statement. “We are seeing widespread transmission occurring within unvaccinated groups as well as some transmission among vaccinated individuals.”
Sonoma County estimates that 78% of residents over the age are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The new health order defines a gathering "as any public or private event or convening that brings people together in a single room or single space at the same time, such as in an auditorium, gymnasium, stadium, arena, large conference room, wedding venue, meeting hall, or any other indoor or outdoor space." Schools, places of worship and venues "open to the public as part of regular operations such as shopping malls, stores, restaurants/food facilities and museums" are exempted.

They used a lot of words to say everything we sad the jab was supposed to do, failed.
80% vaccinated and cases are at their highest? Hmmm.....
Issued voluntary stay at home order? Hum, I usually do that after midnight so would I be compliant?
Limited indoor gatherings to 50? Hum, does that include non citizens also?? Is that order out in multi languages??

“Despite a 80% fully jabbed rate, and IIRC, state mask mandate, they go back to March 2020 policies.”
And they do it without missing a beat. Never an admission of error, never any room for self doubt. They push forward with their ways as if they are all knowing.
If anyone gives me a “voluntary stay at home” order, you can bet I’ll find every excuse possible to ignore it.
These idiots truly are one-trick-pony soldiers.
I’m on day 5 of omicron. Was already on a regimen Vits C, D, and Zinc. When symptoms hit I added Quercetin on day 2 and IVM a day after that (yes, the dreaded scary paste). I went from having a REALLY miserable flu pre-IVM to just having a bad sore throat and sporadic cough within 12 hours of taking it. Nobody’s going to convince me IVM doesn’t work on CV, or that it’s dangerous in the right dose for my weight. It does, however, taste nothing like apples.
And now I’m jonesing for some hay and oats.
LOL. Curious what your dosing was or where you found it.
:)—I had covid two weeks ago. Four days total of being sick. I also recommend you add to your regimen this: tonic water with quinine, walks out in the sun with some deep breathing, tea with honey. I read that honey treats a cough as well as cough medicine does (I didn’t know that), and it seems to be true. Lots of fluids and I also tried to take deep breaths every hour.
If they had 100% compliance, this wouldn’t have been necessary

The paste comes in a syringe, with the plunger marked in 50LB increments. You loosen the ring at the top of the plunger 1/4 turn, move it down to your weight, tighten it 1/4 turn, take off the cap, and push the plunger down to dispense the amount. The ring stops the plunger when you reach the correct setting.
There are YouTube vids that probably describe it better.
Sonoma County. There are no wine festivals going on right now so it’s OK to lock down for a while.
Oh, and I am taking a single dose per day for 4 days. There are lots of alternative dosing schedules out there, but since none of them came from a doctor I just went with the most conservative one.
Omicron is by far the least dangerous variant of COVID-19 Wuhan virus that has appeared, even if highly contagious.
But having the omicron variant would appear to have much the same effect on other variants of COVID-19 virus, as the incidence of cowpox had upon the very deadly and dreaded smallpox epidemics.
Nature has provided an attenuated-virus version of COVID-19 virus that may yet prove to be the necessary means of bringing COVID-19 under manageable scope. And just possibly, point to a means of ending for all time the “common cold”.
Do not fear the omicron variant, embrace it, and recognize the inferred immunity it provides.
Get the omicron variant, no need, ever, for the mRNA injection, which does not seem to be particularly effective, but has a number of its own drawbacks in terms of side effects among otherwise healthy persons. A tool in the arsenal of strategies and therapies that was badly misused.
In Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, we went to three Christmas events — a big charity celebrity chef cooking competition supporting a local assistance organization; a Christmas spectacular; and an eagle cruise on the lake. Idaho has one of the lowest vax rates in the country (I think about 45%).
Neither my wife, our friends, our daughter, her fiancé, me or anybody else got sick. Maybe 2% of the people attending the events (at most) were masked up (certainly not us).
Life in Idaho feels completely normal and sane. There’s no fear, gloom or doom there.
My husband is convinced jabbed people are going to drop dead any day now. I hope he’s wrong, but I wouldn’t be shocked either.
Thank you so much. You described it perfectly. I’ve got it on hand in case we need it so this helps a lot.
At least they have PARTIAL respect for SOME of the First Amendment. /s
