Automaker Chrysler just announced plans to go completely electric by 2028, anticipating the release of its first electric vehicle by 2025.
Chrysler announced the plans along with a new AI-enabled vehicle system powered by a battery that the company says can travel 350 to 400 miles per charge, as The Associated Press reported.
Chrysler is part of Europe’s Stellantis, which last month announced a new strategy to embed AI-enabled software into millions of vehicles across its 14 different brands. This could gain Stellantis $22.6 billion in annual revenue by 2030.
This is all part of the race among automakers to produce more completely electric and hybrid cars that also have more autonomous driving features. Overall, this would begin shifting cars away from gasoline-powered engines.
As one of the main American brands of Stellantis, Chrysler will be on the front lines of this change in the auto industry in North America.

VW, Toyota & Panasonic are investing BILLIONS in SOLID STATE battery technology.
It COULD be possible that solid state batteries would actually outlast the vehicle they are initially installed in. This IMHO is the game changer. Not Lithium Ion batteries.
They other potential is Hydrogen Fuel cells. Toyota has one model currently available. The question is where do you fill it up?
Washington state sells 25% of it electrical power to Canada every year for instance ... 177 new natural gas powered plants are currently being built. 2 are under construction

Natural gas is a fossil fuel, therefore evil and will be banned like coal and nuclear.
WA state has problems because the Columbia River Hydro dams kill precious salmon and must be destroyed to restore the historic runs
http://www.plugpower.com/ has been working on this for decades
Corporate suicide.
Ram tough, my @ss.
Chrysler sells two things that are worth a shart: Hellcat and Grand Caravan. They stopped making the Grand Caravan in 2021 and the Hellcat this year. So... No big deal. They weren’t going to sell many cars anyway. I’ll still be driving my 2005 MR2 Spyder when Chrysler goes bankrupt.
Same talking points in all topics relating to automobiles.
Don't know if it's human, or not. I suspect it's an artificial intelligence bot from the CIA posting.
It's claim that Toyota is going all electric is a lie. Lexus is going all electric.
Toyota is the best run car company in the world and is being cautious about going only EV. It figured out early on that hybrids are beneficial. I just wish it would make diesel hybrids, which are even better.
EV cars use a simple heat pump for heat and AC. It uses very little power.
On Tesla’s tech page their heater will work for 72 hours on a full charge if the car is not moving-day caught in snow like Va.
Chrysler wants to go broke again and this time for good.
Used car prices to increase. My Chrysler 300 now a classic and collectors item.
I see the potential for self driving cars with breathalyzers in them.
IF you have had too many alcoholic beverages, your car drives you home. The only people against this would be LAWYERS.
There was a story yesterday about a dog out on the highway on NH/VT border. The dog led the police to a vehicle that had gone off the road. Saved the life of the two guys in the truck. It turned out the driver was drunk. Maybe IF they had a self driving pickup truck, they would have made it home.
Trends... Market forces... You are logical and able to see coming change. There is often a transition product during a disruption (hybrid). IIRC Clay Christiansen’s adoption formula shows it — New_tech_users/Old_tech_users plotted on log graph gives a straight line.
Bingo....the market loves EV’s.
and govt subsidies
They’re going to eliminate Hellcats, the only reason anyone even looks at Chryslers. Moronic.
The hemi is dead, Jim! Sad day for Mopar!
Did i already ask you if you had/have sratocasters? Based on your screen name. 🎸
Like or not the gov't is deep in the vehicle standards of what is to come.
Hey, I know. We could have wires over all the roadways with long connecting arms sticking off your vehicles roof to get power. I’m calling brandon just as soon as he’s done lying about 1/6/2021.
