The United States is now the world's leading exporter of liquified natural gas as Europe's energy crisis and shortages in China send demand for American shipments soaring.

LNG exports from the United States topped 7 million tonnes (7.7 million tons) in December, according to ship-tracking data from ICIS LNG Edge, narrowly edging out rival producers Qatar and Australia for the first time.

The United States only shipped its first LNG cargo from the lower 48 states in 2016, and has risen to become the world's top exporter in just six years as a shale gas revolution boosted domestic production and turned the country into a powerful force in global energy markets.

The United States will be the biggest exporter in the world through 2022 as a whole, according to forecasts from ICIS and the US Energy Information Agency. Demand is expected to remain high in Europe, where there are fears about natural gas supplies from Russia as tensions grow over a military buildup at its border with Ukraine.

Meanwhile, here in Kentucky, the price of natural gas has just gone up by 33%. We definitely feel it, because gas is the most effective way to heat our homes at this time of the year. Should I blame it on the supply chain problem? Or Washington’s refusal to build new pipelines?

Nat Gas prices were extremely depressed for a few years. They are nowhere close to normal yet so hang on.

We need to get Hunter Biden back into the Oil and Gas business.

When he was in charge of Ukraine gas production and transport, the region was at peace, prices in Europe were low, the big guy got 10%, and hookers everywhere were happy.

Then he left to pursue his amazing art career, and everything in the energy markets went crazy.

We need you back Hunter!

Being a Texan, I certainly APPRECIATE the Blue States not allowing LNG, so that we can receive all of this revenue.

For the life of me, I cannot understand (well maybe I do) why we do not use more of our NG resources here in the states.

I would purchase a LNG pickup truck is there were more LNG filling stations throughout the country.
