So the head of Oakland’s Chamber of Commerce wants more police and video cameras throughout the city. But the perp is masked up, and the getaway vehicle has no front license plate (illegal in California), the latter of which assumes there won’t be one on the rear of the vehicle.

I won’t set so much as a toenail in Oakland ever again - and step on the gas whenever I pass Oakland exits on the freeway, especially the “Fruitdale” exit.

My daughter took us to a new restaurant, supposedly in a “safe” part of Oakland. I agreed to go against my better judgement. I didn’t feel safe walking the 1/2 block from the car to the restaurant, especially after dark, and will never go there again.
