July 23, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Prior to facemask mandates as an alleged preventive for Covid infection and transmission, such masks were infrequently worn in hospitals and other medical facilities. They were only used in operating theatres or for visiting seriously ill patients in order to prevent infection from spit or droplets into open wounds or to partially protect visitors from acquiring and transmitting pathogens more dangerous than Covid. Many doctors and nurses have told LifeSite that for decades, if not longer, staff wearing medical masks were an uncommon sight in health care facilities other than as mentioned

I googled “do masks reduce blood oxygen levels”

And every article for the first 6 pages said no.
One article was a study on seniors 75 years on average. They were fine.

One doctor filmed himself wearing 6 face masks and checking his O2 stat, and he was fine.

I feel for you. I wouldn’t want to have to wear a mask 40 hours a week. I only wear one once a week when I go to the grocery store.

Maybe but think about this. Everyone is running around washing washing washing their hands.

But these masks that ‘protect’ you, then you have to imagine that covid is all around you as you walk around with that mask on and that mask stops the covid virus, which let’s say for the minute we ignore the fact that viruses are microscopic and can pass right between the mask fibers, but now that wonderful mask that is protecting you is protecting you how? By letting those covid germs sit right on the top of the mask (we are ignoring the virus can pass through the fibers here) and now you keep wearing that mask and that the covid germs are a fraction away from your nostrils.

Oh. Then you go home, and remove that mask with your bare hands touching all the surfaces of the mask and put it down for the next time you wear it.

They have discovered that when you touch the germs it does not transfer that way, but if it lands on the mask and you are wearing it and breathing in and out and talking occasionally then you could breathe it in.

But somehow people still think that it’s a great protection. Well, they think better than a bare face.

But it wouldn’t work in a Tuberculosis room, only an N95 mask would and only that would work for this.

Do the sats and see. We send people home on oxygen under 88% that would be not paid for if insurance companies could do away with it. They love not to pay for stuff.

The article has no one to measure the sats. They are lying to you. Put on your mask, give it about 10 min and do a sat on yourself and see for yourself. You will know then if the articles are right.

If your sats are low it is the way to measure if you are or are not getting oxygen into your bloodstream. That is what the insurance company goes by. We have to document those sats. That is what is the rule to decide if you need more oxygen.

Polite people cover their coughs, with the inside of their elbow rather than their hand. This is the way. Masking is not the way. Masks are theater. Stupid theater.

And while I feel for you, when I go to the doctor, I am very appreciative that everyone has a mask on.

If I had to stay in a hospital during the pandemic, I would really really want to know the nurses were taking precautions including masks and excessive washing.

There is your problem right there - Google.

You are being lied to by omission as badly, or worse, by Google as by the legacy corporate media. Do you believe them, too?

DeGoogle your life is the big message.

On the subject of masks and O2 saturation, a pulse oximeter is a $20 item now, and every house should have one. Mine is 2 states away at the moment, or I’d try it myself later.

But to try and refute anything political like this on the basis of “Google says” is simply foolish.

I’ve proven masks lower blood O2 levels. Wear an oximeter and note your blood oxygen levels. Then put on a mask and resume your activities.

When I did that my blood oxygen dropped significantly.

Google bias is certainly a possibility.
So Goggle could be presenting an unbalanced analysis, similar to the main article in this thread which ONLY presented studies against masks and didn’t acknowledge the many studies that support masks.

However, it does demonstrate that there is no shortage of studies claiming masks do not reduce blood oxygen levels.

So the reader if not already decided, can read through the studies and determine for themselves, which they want to believe.

I am suggesting the reader should do this study on himself.

Gitmo has done so and reports reduction. I intend to do it in a few days,

“Measure CO with mask on over several minutes..”
You checking it at your exhaust pipe of your car? CO is carbon monoxide. Created by burning fossil fuels. CO2 is carbon dioxide, necessary for plant life and is a naturally occurring product.
We exhale CO2.

My great friend ,OR rn and or tech for decades disagrees. Her statement to me, everyone on the team rips those masks off immediately, in between cases. She retired specifically because of how bad she felt wearing the mask fo 10 to 12 hours straight.

The typical masks we see are about as effective as a buffet sneeze guard. However imagine dining with leftists at a Walmart run buffet.

Want the sneeze guard?

I say it's a personal call. I'd also avoid the buffet in favor of a place with decent people.

It doesn’t matter how many studies prove that masks don’t work and are actually harmful. Too much of the American public is now too enstupified to understand anything anymore.
