NASA is looking to the heavens for help with assessing how humans will react if alien life is found on other planets and how the discovery could impact our ideas of gods and creation. The agency is hiring 24 theologians to take part in its program at the Center for Theological Inquiry (CTI) at Princeton University in New Jersey, which NASA gave a $1.1 million grant to in 2014.
CTI is described as building 'bridges of under understanding by convening theologians, scientists, scholars, and policymakers to think together - and inform public thinking - on global concerns.'

HA!
1: You presume that humans have the ability to see the entire universe, THEY DON’T.
2: Mathematics neither proves nor disproves whether life on other planets is possible, that statement is just silly.
3: Yes, there is a realm outside our tiny existence; it is GODS REALM, and I do believe he has prepared a place at his table for us through CHRIST HIS SON.
4: And this is the IMPORTANT ONE; NEVER PRESUME TO KNOW GODS MIND OR HIS POWER, HE will do what HE wishes with HIS universe.
We are created in HIS image, but HIS image is whatever HE wishes it to be!

God Created atoms, electrons, molecules, bacteria, cells in the body, and a lot more besides. Light has properties that were not mentioned anywhere in the Bible. Did He tell you about those personally? No, God hasn't explained the extent of His Creation simply because you couldn't grasp it. Besides, He left a lot for us to explore and discover. Maybe He thought such discoveries would be fun, and a chance to marvel at the extent of His Wisdom.
God Bless Sir, Merry Christmas.
“Let’s say you’re God. The people you created have a world view that extends to the valley next door, which they’ve heard about but never visited. You’ve filled the entire universe with life, but these people don’t even know they live on a planet instead of a large flat rock. Are you going to say, “Yeah, I’ve created life all over the univer...uhm, I’ve created life in all the valley’s on this...uhm, this valley and the other valley.” *sigh*
I think theology would adjust to the new perception of reality.”
Some people say that there are distant lands and strange peoples way out across the Great Sea. But we know, by Zeus, that the gods would never allow such a thing, and that there be dragons at the other side of the Great Sea, where the world ends.
Read the Bible. That will change your perception of “gods and creation”.
Yeah, that’s probably as good a reason as any.

Does GOD talk to you often?
If so, you must be really SPECIAL.
Rx, we both agree that NASA is way off course.
No need to convince me.
Hi.
“if alien life is found on other planets and how the discovery could impact our ideas of gods and creation. “
To Serve Man is a cookbook.
I want to know if the aliens taste like chicken.

Amen!!
God created it all!
Merry Christmas to all.
The key theological question if God created life elsewhere is whether any was created in the image of God.
Any civilization with intersteller space travel capabilities would be very unlikely to need anything that Earth has to offer.
Well, except maybe for vibranium, which is pretty rare.
And magic unicorns for power generation with zero environmental impacts.
We might have a problem after all. But the probability is still that they would avoid Earth as a disease reservoir, as they would have seen broadcasts of War of the Worlds long before they got here.
Of course, if aliens were attracted by massive ego pulses and are coming to worship Barack Obama, they might override their safety protocols and come on in.
There are 10^24 stars like there are millions of species in earth because God didn’t do anything halfway.
As a theologian myself, I’d say that if we find life on another planet, then we’ll have only a few weeks before Ragnarök begins. My Hindu, Christian, Muslim and Buddhist friends agree that the world will end, although we don’t agree on the name of the event.
Where’s my check, NASA?
But whether or not life is found out there, the Christian belief still stands.

The first rule of any highly intelligent civilization is “hide”.
Homo Sapiens has proven how stupid we are by flooding the universe with radio signals.
