Wow, some sense.
We don’t usually get to choose our circumstance.
Kyle has brought HOPE to millions......
.....and God has brought him through and out of this ordeal.
From every indication, Kyle knew his father but his father was not a good role model.........and there is no reference of Mr.Rittenhouse supporting Kyle each day in the courtroom.....Maybe all of this is conjecture on my part, but Wendy was/is the solid parental force behind her son....
....and the night he was out doing this, she was working ( she worked as a nursing assistant).....
I have no doubt she wished she could have prevented this happening.....but it did, and Kyle accepts this.
‘What Satan means for evil, God uses for good’
Kyle’s role models were policemen, fire fighters, EMTs......and good on Kyle for choosing this type of role model.....Kudos!
But Kyle grabbed the attention of the world......much of which is being presently oppressed.
The world saw him in court, just like the jury!
An honest, articulate, caring kid who only wanted to do good!
I think this article tries to dilute him......and it can’t!
Kyle has schieved a 2nd amendment win for all righteous patriots!
God bless him!
We know a good person when we see one.
Kyle will be carefully protected and nurtured...
...and Wendy will get her well deserved rest from providing for her 3 children through long hours of hard work
I believe they have already moved to the ‘free state’....
...and CNN, MSNBC, Biden, celebrities have defamed him publicly that Kyle could be looking at multiple payouts from them!
Everyone that was shot deserved it.
There is no “appeared to have acted in self defense” about it. He DID act in self defense as the jury clearly ruled. "Townhall" has got too many weak kneed RINO's.
Who the heck is Larry O'Connor anyways? Some vegetation milk drinking sop?
This is Larry O’Connor doing what Connie Chung did to Newt’s Mom. . .just to hype the ratings. Sometimes a 17 year old is confronted by real life. Kyle handled it admirably, end of story. . no need for Larry O’Connor’s casting of aspirations and looking for the shadows. Sure, Moms are prone to make embarrassing statements, not wanting to see that their baby is growing up and when faced with a crisis, her baby didn’t need “mommie” in the least. . .he handled it, like a BOSS. If Kyle were my son. . I would be DAMN proud.
This whole Kyle Rittenhouse story needs to put blame back on the media for not calling these riots what theywere, and especially the local officials who chose to abandon the city to a mob.
The city officials and media should have been on trial, not Kyle Rittenhouse.
While it seems common sense to say that any 17 year old should not have to protect a city, you have to wonder why adults have allowed some cities to burn.
I do recall that Nick collected tens of millions of dollars from CNN and NBC, and perhaps others.
The Rittenhouses are doing this wrong. Bad advice I suppose.
Yup.
Moms tend to freak when, right before their eyes, their 'boy' turns into a MAN!
No parent would want their son to go thru what Kyle went through. It doesn't change the fact that he was defending his life in a legal manner. I would advise anyone to stay away from any Antifa or BLM riots, these people are thugs, most have records and the others are mentally ill or druggies, yep, stay away.
From Lin Wood to now Charlie Kirk, Kyle's being used as a prop.
Yeah, me too. Where the hell has Kyle's been through this whole affair?
Other than "he lives in Kenosha" we know literally nothing about him.
But, but....
Then Kyle would not have been a HERO!
(sarc or no sarc. you decide.)
Glad she didn’t get to do this. We need more heros like him.
There are several things being ignored by this writer:
-Kyle is said to have been working that day in Kenosha. And there was a curfew, so he stayed at a friend’s house.
-But even if that isn’t quite the way it was and the defense fudged a bit on that part of the story (there hasn’t been much in news stories on it either way), this was lawless unrest, destruction and some violence going on in basically his own town.
While the media and politicians have painted this as Kyle basically going into a dangerous situation needlessly, I doubt he or anyone who lived in this community actually saw it that way at the time. Instead, they were *in* the dangerous situation, or were so connected to many people who were, that it felt that way.
-That sort of chaos with protesting and so much action going on (the nation was focused on Kenosha) is a very strong draw for people, especially young people. Many probably went out that night to “protest” or just witness what was happening (film it). If too many people ignore the curfew, then it’s like not even having one. But besides maybe curiosity and just getting sucked into “the action,” other people would likely feel drawn just out of the need not to stand by, but to “do something.”
-And that’s all the more true because it was such a dangerous situation. If you look at where the incidents happened, it’s looks like a working-class, mixed area of businesses and homes. There were bullets flying that weren’t from Kyle’s gun. There were fires started and general destruction. Residents there had to be afraid to leave their homes if they needed to, and afraid that something could happen to them in their own homes.
-Then, too, this was a very fast-moving, unexpected series of events that came to this town. People were just making up their plan of action for what they would do as they went along (for example, Kyle’s friend’s stepfather decided to move his gun from his garage safe into his house, and that was due only to the unrest).
-Kyle clearly was somewhat naive and simplistic in his idea about what he would be able to do and his ability to avoid altercations with the rioters, but that’s simply not surprising for someone his age and experience level. And that doesn’t make the situation at all his fault. It’s terrible that, even with it all caught on videotape, so many people just the deny the evidence for political purposes. He absolutely didn’t attack anyone himself, or seem to want to, and only fired his weapon when under attack and he had no other choice.
-Basically, this lawless unrest and civil disorder, which the government seemed to have heightened due to its own actions, was a very difficult and challenging situation that was thrust on the community, almost like a very low-grade war. A chaotic, lawless situation like that is simply too much for a lot of people, and leads to many just not making decisions at the same level that they would otherwise.
I also think, from the looks of it, that the Rittenhouses are still getting some bad advice on where to go from here. But on the other hand, we aren’t privy to the whole situation, either. Maybe it just looks that way.
Yeah, my mom told me the same thing after my third combat deployment.
Kyle did right even though it was a poor choice.
