Is Hillary Clinton Suggesting Civil War?
American Thinker.com ^ | December 22, 2021 | J. Robert Smith

The other day, in an interview with NBC News, Hillary Clinton went public with a warning -- or was it a dog whistle to Democrats and the left? It might be an instance of Hillary’s mouth running ahead of her brain, but don’t count on it. Hillary is a coldly calculating woman -- and that might be one of her better qualities.

Hillary suggested that if Trump or “someone of his ilk” is elected president in 2024, then American democracy is kaput. Foolishness? Knowing the conceits and delusions that infect her intended audience, her suggestion might not seem ludicrous. Hillary’s side listens to her, so her words carry weight.

From National Review, December 13:

“I think that could be the end of our democracy,” [Hillary] said. “Not too be too pointed about it, but I want people to understand that this could be a make-or-break point. If he or someone of his ilk were once again to be elected president, especially if he had a Congress that would do his bidding, you will not recognize our country.”

Hillary’s inference? If Trump or DeSantis (the most likely GOP presidential nominee should Trump not run) wins the presidency -- in a democratic and presumably fair election, no less, and has the backing of an elected Republican Congress -- then the nation has arrived at a “make-or-break point.”

If the “make-or-break” line sounds eerily familiar, it’s because it is. Democrats said things like that in the run-up to Lincoln’s election in 1860. But, today, secession isn’t on the table. Modern Democrats, very much enthralled by leftism, aren’t for separation. They’re into seizure and dominance.

The left has always painted Trumpism as a dire threat to democracy. Hillary has been spouting that nonsense since at least 2016 while her “lost” emails stew in Bimbo Limbo.

Of course if communists anti-constitutional non-citizens took over, that would be fine be her.

We are, of course, a republic and not a democracy.

But from the standpoint of the Democrats, if We The People were actually allowed to have a say in our government, then that would be “the end of democracy”.
It is important to these people that the installation of a communist dictatorship be unimpeded. To get in the way of that is somehow unAmerican.

At this point in her lifetime, losing the Presidency twice, not getting any donations to the Clinton Family Foundation and her underlings being investigated for various election related things she’s about as relevant as Geraldine Ferraro....

“American democracy”

It merely lacks a capital letter.

LAUGH BREAK

I smell another whiney straight-to-the-discount-bin book from Hillary.

A Trump spox let her have it w/ both barrels: “Hillary’s sole remaining marketable attribute is that she got beaten by Trump.”

Sure she wasn't talking about Biden?

“you will not recognize our country”

It would have lots of factories and people working in those factories instead of collecting welfare and voting for Democrats every two years.

The Democrat party rigged the primary to elect Hillary.

See novels by Glen Tate and Kurt Schlichter for the prequels to her remarks.

“My favorite caliber is .45” <— some of you will recognize that.

My friends we have a year to prepare for the next election. So do they. They’ll try to get away with what they did in the last one. Will an election change anything? Promising to get them the next time is like getting an F for the day.

Seriously? She still thinks she's electable? I think she knows better.
She does have a hardcore constituency though, a remnant of maybe 10-15%. Not enough to win, but enough to throw an election. And that's a valuable a$$et.

“But, today, secession isn’t on the table.”

It should be...but under OUR TERMS. Let California and Northeast go - they’re no longer doing the country any good, anyway.

I used to think we were stronger unified, but I don’t know if that’s still the case, if the people living there hate the rest of the rest of the country as much as they do.

If they really want their ‘carbon-neutral’ crap and all their social experiments, let them do it on their own...just so they get it out of their system quicker - perhaps after that, we could come together again.

My long departed Dad had that dry Irish whit. Whenever he'd see an ugly woman he'd say “I wonder how much she'd charge to haunt a house?”
