Salvation Army chapters across the country are reporting massive shortages in volunteer hours and toy donations just weeks after the charity distributed (and then pulled) a controversial guide calling on white people to confront their "racist attitudes."
Some 20,000 volunteer hours have gone unfilled for the Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign this year, which historically represents about 33% of the charity's total yearly donations. The charity has also reported substantial shortages of toy and gift donations in some parts of the country, such as New Jersey, where donations are down 30% across the state.

I had a monthly contribution automatically sent to them from my bank account for years but stopped it when I heard about this.
It’s a shame. They used to be the best charity out there.

That is not that big of a reduction, considering the magnitude of their offense.
I would have expected it to be 10X the stated amount.
The SA needs to stand down and get its house in order.
The only two things that together will repair this is (1) the removal of woke leftist, racist, board members and (2) the appointment of some good Christian replacements.
Dead to me without that correction.
And fire their “Diversity and Inclusion Officer” (yes they have one) and his entire staff.
My company got one last year (very highly paid) and the wokeness went into overdrive.
And their still acting clueless about what caused this. They’re blaming it on COVID and the bad economy. Sheesh.
When they began allowing homeless encampments on SA property, full of drug addicts, drunks and pedophiles about 10 years ago, I quit giving to them. It happened around the same time as the book “Breakfast at Sallys” that I noticed they had changed from actually helping people become independent and successful, to full time parasites.

A hilariously clumsy attempt that only stoked the fires.
If SA wants to reverse the ‘Hex’ they put on themselves, they need to NAME who suggested the CRT angle and who accepted it. Then they need to say ‘these people have been removed from their administrative positions, and are no longer serving any policy making function with the SA.
Saying that CRT bunk has been ‘taken for review’ only provides a weak gesture at changing the topic for the time being. People are no longer fooled by such shifting of the chairs.
Television shows are the best examples of this. 24, House. Charitable foundations are worse but harder to see.
We are getting grocery store gift cards and giving them out to Local, hard working people, ie, waiters/waitresses, construction workers, etc.
