Arizona faith leaders are urging U.S. Sens. Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema to expand child tax credits as part of President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better agenda. If the credits aren’t at least extended by the end of December, the recurring monthly payments of up to $300 for every child under the age of six and $250 a month for children ages 6-17 would lapse in the new year. As passed by the House last month, the Build Back Better bill includes a one-year extension of the child tax credit. Tamera Zivic, the CEO of WHEAT, an anti-hunger and poverty organization, said the ongoing monthly payments have made a difference to families making less than a livable wage, and should be adopted permanently. “The opportunity to be able to make this tax credit permanent rather than waiting for something at the end of the tax year, really has made a difference in the lives of these people,” Zivic said. “They don't expect it, but they certainly can use it.”

After reading the article, one learns that these are Faith Leaders who are the CEOs of NGOs that receive Government cash.
No one seems to understand that the “child Credits on the 1040 tax return are being distributed early-—
At least that is my understanding based on what I already read.
IF that IS NOT the case, then we have been bamboozled again.
I just read the Wheat org. Site. I really hope they are just about feeding the hungry and not politically aimed...

How did I grow and get old without Mr Government paying my parents thousands a year - if not a month?
Arizona faith leaders need to do fund raiser and need to lean on the charity of their parishioners instead of begging for government bucks.

Note that in proper ENGLISH, the lack of qualifier indicates that EVERY 'Faith leader' in Arizona is making this plea! Progressives in the MSM love this 'trick', it makes their advocacy sound universal! It is also a LIE!

These same people are probably already getting food stamps and rent allowance. $300 a month extra for one kid is a lot of money....month after month after month.
Buying votes. Need to print more money to pay for it. More Inflation. Raise taxes. More Programs implemented to buy more votes. Need to print more money to pay for it........
Where will this nation be in 10 years? in 5?
Even if “conservatives” gets elected. There is no way they can stop the free flow of money people now expect.

Yes - that is the case. NOW all the IRS has to do is make sure returns for 2021 aren’t claiming a child tax credit resulting in DOUBLE DIPPING???? I know people who are eligible and receiving that “tax credit” and it certainly isn’t going for the purpose of feeding and caring for their children.
Have no idea who (other than democrats) came up with that idea but it was effective this year...
