Saw the Monkees just after they ditched Hendrix. Right in the middle of a song, Mickey Dolenz held up a stuffed teddy bear a fan threw on stage.
His drums kept playing . . . .

I take it you are now a believer?
The real question is; could you leave her?
because using one word searches is not that bright
It all comes down to what you’re searching for. The number of titles containing “Nesmith” is likely to be small, while the number of titles containing “COVID” is apt to be very large. If a search yields a great many results, you use more words or different words to restrict another search. This is obvious.
But you go ahead and search however you want, being as bright as you are.
Thanks for posting this. I peruse Free Republic every day, and did not notice the earlier threads. And don’t take the freeping ankke biters to heart, regarding earlier threads or comments about searching skills. They may have taken to heart the Disney tune “It’s a Small, Small World” and have apparently chosen to live in it.

The Monkees inspired me to learn how to play guitar.
Had a little band in 6th grade and played a few songs for our graduation party. Mike was my favorite because he was a “real” guitar player.
If a search yields a great many results, you use more words or different words to restrict another search.
Exactly, that is why using a one word search is poor advice from someone that thinks they are brighter than others.
Well, bright boy, sometimes a one-word search really is best. That would be when it works. Only if the search gives too many results should you change the terms and search again, which is easy enough. I never said that one-word searches are always the only way to search, so please learn to read.
Now you can spend another day or two trying to think of a clever comeback. Try not to use “they” as a singular pronoun when you do. It makes you seem less bright.
Using a one word search is not bright at all.
It’s a decent tool in the tool box.
Search for “Sudan”. I see a couple recent articles about a possible coup, and a couple recent articles about a new disease. Not too much to sift through. Which is good.
I can search for “Nesmith” and I see a similarly small selection. Which is also good.
If I search for “Cuomo” it’s a different story. Chris? Andrew? Book deal? This scandal? That scandal? I need more than one word to figure anything out.
But in some cases, one word is sufficient. And it’s an easy start to figure out where you stand.
Can’t let it go, can you? I knew all along that you were an idiot, but I called you bright because I’m just a nice guy.
So long, bright boy. Happy searching.
I won this argument when you started calling me childish names.
Sure, bright boy. Sure you did. It’s all right, don’t cry.
Any 10 year old would probably agree with you. Have a nice day my Freeper friend.
If you ever mature as far as a 10-year-old, you probably will too. I hope your day is pleasant as well.
At 65 my days are all pretty well my friend.
How wonderful for you.
For a short while, Jimi Hendrix was the opening act for The Monkees. Also in 1967, The Monkees outsold The Beatles and The Rolling Stones COMBINED.
The Monkees were a colossal musical act and made a large impact on Western Civilization.
