Putin responds: So did I. By a nubile secretute (Russian slang for a secretary who puts out).

Joe Biden has made a significant diplomatic concession to Moscow designed to prevent an invasion of Ukraine, signalling he wants to convene meetings between Nato allies and Russia to discuss Vladimir Putin’s grievances with the transatlantic security pact.

Speaking on Wednesday, a day after he held a bilateral call with Russia’s leader, the US president said he hoped to announce high-level talks by Friday “to discuss the future of Russia’s concerns relative to Nato writ large”.

Joe Biden doesn’t know what day it is. He does not control his bowels much less the military and his handlers/ puppet masters know it. Any order to the military to move into Ukraine or anywhere else will be ignored. Right now the Co-Comms are running the military and they aren’t taking orders from Joe or Austin.

The White House: The US will expand military aid to Ukraine if Russia takes steps against it

Meaningless to USA, of top level importance to Russia.

It would guarantee an invasion, which would be successful. See UK guarantee to Poland 1939.

Let's go, Brandon.

Let’s see...

170,000 troops, two armored divisions, forward deployment of aircraft, MASH and other logistics battalions...

Methinks that’s serious stuff.

me-thinks a real-life chess game is in progress. During a winter-time lull, we’ll see what kind of moves the players will make.

Yes. Any ruler of the Rus, be he Kagan, Prince, Czar, General Secretary, or whatever title Putin has this week, is absolutely willing to risk, and possibly willing to start, a war, to keep Kiev and the Little Russians from becoming part of a hostile European military alliance. That is a fact, upon which legality, fairness or justice have no bearing. The USA needs to understand that before it decides to act.

I certainly agree that no one has made the case that the USA should risk war to add Ukraine to NATO. And the administration that LESS THAN 90 DAYS AGO walked away from military conflict with THE TALIBAN should assume that Putin will assume they are bluffing.
