WTF. Their language is almost the same as Russian. Their peasants dress similarly to Russian peasants. Their writing is Cyrillic, too. All the suffering they endured under Stalin was on Stalin, though he made sure to use Jewish Party members to do the dirty work, so the Jews got punished for his sins when—surprise!—Hitler invaded and Stalin never saw it coming. But he did foresee a back-lash, so made sure to have a scapegoat ready.
Sure. Give Ukraine weapons to defend itself, instead of pillows and blankets. Then they’re on their own. Period. This is all that America can and should do. Ukraine will be suitably grateful.

Invasion is extremely unlikely in the short term (about 4 months) for a reason many here are not thinking of, the weather. If you look at the second world war, most if not quite all of the major offensives take place in the summer often starting in June, while the larger counter offensives all seem to have occurred in winter generally starting in late November or early December. So an invasion while not impossible, is very unlikely as if it is not completed before the mud thaws will be bogged down giving Ukraine and any allies a chance to counter attack in much better weather.
This “Russia might invade Ukraine” is hardcore gaslighting. Russia already invaded Ukraine years ago. Border checkpoints and Ukrainian military units were attacked from inside Russia. Then entire Russian military units invaded Ukraine. If that isn’t “invasion” nothing is. Much of it is on video, too.
