An attorney for Roger Stone has informed the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol that his client will plead the Fifth.
Stone’s lawyer, Grant J. Smith, confirmed to The Hill on Wednesday that he "sent a letter to the Select Committee on behalf of Mr. Stone advising them that he will be asserting his Fifth Amendment privilege in response to their subpoena." The letter was sent on Monday.
In the letter, Smith said Stone "declines to be deposed or to produce documents."

Go plead the 5th Roger. I would do the same. Nothing wrong with this. Roger must have an old time ACLU lawyer. ___________________________ All you do here is keep repeating “I take the 5th Amendment”

This is the same dope who was prosecuted for lying to Congress after testifying voluntarily — without a subpoena — a few years ago.
Too late to stop being an attention whore, it seems.

I would have plead total ignorance.

When you plead the Fifth the prosecution has to actually prove something.

Congress supoened him, how does that make him the “attention whore”?

During the Clinton administration there were dozens if not hundreds of people subpoenaed to testify in the corruption/ Chinese funny money investigations. Stupid (also complicit?) Republican committees just accepted letters from their lawyers instead of bringing them in and making them say, on camera, over and over again that they plead the Fifth.
I will be very surprised if the Democrats do the same. It’s more likely that they will bring Roger Stone in to a public hearing, after which it will be on the news for days and days and then use these hearings in campaign ads.

Claim that you’ve lost your voice, but have a recording of your testimony. Bring a small electronic device that plays a clip of Hillary Clinton saying “I don’t remember”. Play it to every question.
