Why more young black Americans are calling themselves ‘conservative’

For the past two years, the mainstream media has given tons of coverage to the Black Lives Matter movement — and rightly so. More than 80 percent of black Americans, including me, support the movement, especially in the wake of George Floyd’s death in police custody. But the media is missing many nuances among African-Americans. For one, we don’t all vote alike.

Yes, almost 90 percent of black voters went to bat for the Biden-Harris administration last year. But that leaves 10 percent of black voters who didn’t. Meanwhile, 25 percent of black Democrats actually consider themselves “conservative” and 43 percent say they are “moderate.” White Democrats with a college or postgraduate degree are most likely to call themselves “liberal.”

Some issues that matter to the black community just aren’t getting noticed. Two in three black Americans said they don’t feel represented in media, according to a 2020 study.

Charrise Lane, 22, of Orlando, Florida, is one person who has no interest in voting Democrat. She calls herself a “Conscious Black Conservative” and told me: “I’m a conservative because the Democratic Party has always been anti-black and racist towards black Americans.”

Former President Donald J. Trump increased his share of black voters by four percentage points in 2020, partly because he focused on issues that matter to the community — jobs, safety, opportunities, education and healthcare. He also had the backing of black musicians including Kanye West, 50 Cent and Kodak Black, who was pardoned by Trump last year. Just last month, Kodak tweeted, “Bring Trump Back.”

Why? It has absolutely nothing to do with black lives. It only exploits black lives to further a Marxist agenda and help Patrisse Cullors buy another house. If they cared one iota for black lives, they would be attacking inner city gangs.

Conservative = normal, which is the way humans should be. It’s against human nature to be liberal/leftist/marxist/.

If your mother was on welfare and your grandmother was on welfare and your great grandmother was on welfare and you look around and see your functionally illiterate classmates graduate with no ability to get a job, a few people start to question what Democrats have done for them. Just a few.

The Author lost me when he described himself as a “Black American”.

How about just plain old “American”?

Race first is always the tip off-

The rest is just a garbled vanity article.

Minorities are all being conditioned to be hyphenated, African-American. Mexican -American. Its the lefts politically correct bigotry. How to identify what they consider undesirables. No other country does this. Call yourself an American, and you can literally be any race. The left can’t have that.

Black young folk get the real world gig much better then most Americans. They are coming to realize the truth, that Obama?Biden did nothing for them in their eight year reign. And Biden has done nothing at all for them, their opportunities, their futures, their lives a free American citizens.

Their real pal was none other the POTUS, Donald J. Trump who set them up in the employment market and began the serious reform needed for Black criminals and inmates that could be reformed into productive free law abiding citizens!!!

Bottom line......Obama, Biden, Harris, Schumer, all Democrats...could care less about young African-Americans.....Case closed!!!

Blacks are being replaced by Asians and Hispanics. My old high school was 85+% black when I went there in the 1980’s…now it’s 85+% Hispanic. The media never discusses this transformation and the anger among blacks regarding it.

Yet if you poll issue by issue of what they stand for, such as defunding the police, eliminating marriage and family, etc. virtually no black Americans support what BLM stands for. It's simply the phrase "Black Lives Matter" that they support and equate the organization of the same name with it. If the media actually reported what this organization actually stands for things would be different - not just on this, but a lot of other things.

You will see the majority of BLM signs in middle to up-scale white, liberal neighborhoods, where the only blacks they interact with are the ones that work for them.

I drink beer, shoot pool, golf with, and have a black next door neighbor {and my name is not Archie Bunker, but he wasn't too bad}.

DemonRATs always call us racisssssss, but we live our lives as MLK wanted his daughters to be judged, by the content of their character, not something as mundane as the tone of their skin.

Neither me, nor any of my close friends are racisssss, but if we are to be judged by BLM or CRT, since we are all old white men, welllll.

Anyone who supports the violent and corrupt BLM filth, isn’t an American, and is an enemy of Americans everywhere. There should be a bounty of the head of every BLMer.

I have black family members who are turning conservative. We were able to lead one to the right, and he’s been working on the others. Conversions! Yay! All young adults.

Here is a thought for them to ponder:

If you have a political party whose base is poor, disadvantaged, disaffected people, You are going to make damn sure that you NEVER RUN OUT OF POOR, DISADVANTAGED, DISAFFECTED PEOPLE!

In fact, you are going to INCREASE THEIR NUMBERS AS MUCH AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN EVERY TIME YOU GET THE POWER TO DO SO...................
