Lol !!! Who da thunk it !!!
Probably gonna fill those spots with Indians.
Firing the equity team, can I refinance through them in the USA?
Good. I think a lot of people are taking advantage of “working from home”.
I agree, he is absolutely correct when he says people are stealing when they clock 8 hours and only work 2.
Well hell, If you are working 2 hours of your 8 hour shift, yeah. You need to go.
I often log late night, early morning, and weekend work.
Hopefully folks who met their KPI’s(key performance indicators) were not let go.
With my work at home employment, I am always in the top 5 of performance markers.
But if they’re “lazy”, they probably didn’t make it to the Zoom call...
“working 2 hours of your 8 hour shift”
This doesn’t surprise me. I work with people that respond to emails twice a day— 9am and 3pm. If there is a follow up email needed, you have to wait until the next reply time. The times may vary, but there are a lot of them.
Then you have the zoomers, that think being on a zoom call is work. These are merely people trying to convince others they are doing something.
It's aggravating because they don't distinguish between what really needs to be done well and right away.
It's like children swishing food around on their plate pretending that they're eating it.
A real question for any company is "how much work were these people doing in the office that amounted to so little?" They can't ask that question because in a corporation, almost all bosses are guilty of it.
I suspect most of those fired are the ‘woke’ type and therefore hate white men. So perhaps they ‘learn to code’ now.
When I went back to college, one of my courses was online. It was ‘Deductive Logic’ and my husband will tell you I am THE most illogical person to ever walk the earth but things work out with a cherry on top- which leaves him scratching his head. ANYWAY, I met with the professor and confessed I didn’t know what I was doing but would work hard. I had a couple of tutoring sessions with him when I hit a wall but was working on my own the rest of the time. I was obsessed with this class. I was waking up in the middle of the night, running the equations through my mind and would jump out of bed at 3 am and work on them until it was time to go to class at 8 am. To make a long story longer, I ended up with a 96 avg in the class. I spoke with my professor when I was checking my grade outside his class and he commended my progress. I told him how I fell in love with the work and was embarrassed that I may have gone overboard with working on everything until it ‘clicked’ then continued on as it was actually fun to work out the equations. “One hundred and twenty two” he said. I was like, ‘whaaaaa...?’ I had logged on and worked on those equations one hundred and twenty two times. He could see how much time I had spent - compared to other students who had logged on exactly once per class to do the work- 12 times the entire semester- sometimes just before the work was due.
So, just saying to tie this in to the post this employer knew what was up.
Good for him but this shouldn't even exist. In reality it is nothing but anti-white policy.
This is EXACTLY how I was laid off in 2012. The 50 of us Underwriters on the conference call were told in 1 minute that we’re have an overnight envelope outlining our severance package. It’s a corporate thing. You want their paycheck, you play their game.
Which is why I’m in a startup technology company, LLC now.
I’m the only person on my time who is doing in-person audits without management begging me to do so.
The rest are too scared of Covid, or using the excuse that they don’t want to take the chance of bringing it back and infecting their family, including their elderly mother whom they might visit only once a month.
I shouldn’t let it bother me as much as it does because I like getting out and what they do or don’t do really hasn’t impacted my workload all that much.
I’ve been having nightmares lately where my boss has quit and management has pressured me to take her job. I absolutely would not want to to do this in real life.
“Good. I think a lot of people are taking advantage of “working from home”.
It’s not or should not be about hours worked but production. There is a phrase relating to employees saying, “eighty percent of the work is produced by twenty percent of the workforce”.
As the past owner of a smaller business and as part of senior management in a mid to large business I found this to be the case.
When I was working I used to take vacations down around Clearwater, St Pete area or Sarasota and take my laptop with me and my cell phone from work and every day I would take that laptop out while I was on vacation and keep current and keep up-to-date so that when I got back to the office there was no gigantic hiccup because I was gone for two weeks on vacation.
The boss loved me.
But I’m not gloating because the younger people on staff started doing it too and together we all turned into a highly effecient and effective technical team.
Great company.
Will my mortgage refinance phone calls now increase or decrease?
I’ve been waiting to see how long people could work from home unsupervised.
“He fired the entire diversity, inclusion and equity department. Good. I think a lot of people are taking advantage of “working from home””
Now they can be woking from home.
