One of Richard Nixon’s defense lawyers claimed recently that Tricky Dick didn’t receive due process because “the prosecutors cheated.”

Now Geoff Shepard, 76, has filed an official complaint of attorney misconduct with the federal Department of Justice against Watergate prosecutors — 47 years after the fact.

Wouldn't surprise me. Nixon is a choir boy compared to Brandon.

I’m surprised that any of them are still alive.

Hillary was fired by the Watergate team for cheating too blatantly.

Compared to Obama and Biden Nixon’s faults were the equivalent of an overdue library fine.

>>>Hillary was fired by the Watergate team for cheating too blatantly.<<<

So often when impropriety rears it’s ugly head, there she is doing what she does best. I remember reading an article by the lawyer heading the prosecution (the team she was on) and how she was crooked even back then.

John Dean set up the Watergate break in. He got information about it from his prostitute wife. Dean mislead Nixon about the whole thing from the start.

Nixon’s problems were trying to maintain power and blast away the dems. The current clown is into self enrichment as was Clintoon.

The way the media treated Trump and the spying on him told me that Watergate ‘outrage’ was simply a cover for a coup.

As it was, Nixon was a PATHETIC Republican, far worse than Trump, Reagan, and even worse than Bush Jr. The only Republican who comes close to Nixon was Bush Sr. So he still got what he deserved.

That’s a theory, but if Dean’s wife really was a prostitute, he probably would have kept very far away from anything that could potentially reveal that.

She was fired by a dem because she lied about what the history showed about whether a person being impeached was allowed an attorney. She, in something normal for her, lied about what her research revealed. She did show she was nothing but a left wing hack even then which was a good 20 years before she became known as first lady of US.

Maureen Kane (John Dean’s fiancé) was rooming at the time with a woman who was supposedly a prostitute in the employ (IIRC) of the Democrats. I always thought that John Dean wanted to know if his wife-to-be was hooking herself and breaking into the Dem HQ was the best way to find out.

Yes, Dean was the mastermind, and turned rat to save his worthless ass. Too bad Liddy (RIP) didn’t catch up with him before he died.

It’s a shame that Watergate overshadows his entire administration because Nixon was a decent president.

Nixon didn’t know anything about the break-in until after it made the news. Since he didn’t know about it, he ASS-U-ME-d his people didn’t do it.

The press always had had the long knives out for Nixon, so when they came at him HARD over the break-in his opening position was a blanket denial. Then when it became clear that Hunt, Liddy, et Al, were indeed guilty, he wouldn’t give the press the satisfaction of admitting that he had been mistaken. So he took a seriously bad decision and tried to orchestrate a cover-up.

And the demoncrats couldn’t tolerate that because they wanted to maintain their monopoly on the cover-ups. The rest is history.

The Real Watergate Scandal: Collusion, Conspiracy, and the Plot That Brought Nixon Down by Geoff Shepard (Washington, DC: Regnery, 2019) is the author's previous book. The Nixon Conspiracy was just published. Last week, I heard the author speak at the Nixon Presidential Library and he signed my copy of the book.
