The parents of accused Michigan school shooter Ethan Crumbley are now on the run from police, just hours after a prosecutor announced involuntary manslaughter charges against them and revealed stunning details about the murder weapon that was a Christmas gift for the 15-year-old, whom police say shot dead four students after penning a disturbing note saying 'thoughts won't stop, help me.' Police have issued a 'be on the lookout alert' for James and Jennifer Crumbley, who were charged Friday with four counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Tuesday's deadly shooting. The charge carries a sentence of up to 15 years in prison. Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald alleged that the parents ignored multiple warning signs and refused to take their son out of school just hours before the shooting took place.

Quite a presumption concerning “on the run”.
Same article has neighbor picking up packages for them, which likely means they left their abode before the announcement.
Why did they leave? Maybe they don’t want to deal with all the left wing/Rittenhouse style death threats they are going to get over this case.
Critical thinking folks - sorely missing here.
Media gold jackpot. What is better to take the economy, inflation, border crisis, a senile president(*), and Alec Baldwin off the front page?
If you had time to read the article, they were told they had 48 hours to get him help. Plus, the school wanted them to take there boy home, which they “resisted”. Had they not, this may be been avoided. For a time anyway....
Both parents are accessory and going to jail too. No doubt.
Of course, under guard and immediately.
Down to Mexico like Brian Laundrie did. /s
I am pretty much agreeing with charging the parents on this one. They are legally responsible for much of his behavior.
You have a lot of important info on this story I’m not seeing in main media. If you don’t mind, can you tell us where you’re getting this info?
I would be curious to read it myself.
No, the crimes didn’t rise to the level of barring them from purchasing weapons (DUIs, driving with expired tags, bad checks under $500).
> left wing/Rittenhouse style death threats
Right wing needs to come down hard on them - legally.
And buying a handgun for a 15 year old? Were they felons? If so, they’re going to jail just on the buying the handgun thing.
That usually come out later. The media does everything it can to cover up the psychiatry/violence connection.
100% from the article on Daily Mail.
“...to the hospital...”
These days hospitals have nothing to do with actual medical care.
It’s sick [sic].
Jeez - is the whole family nuts and lawless?
Thank you. Proving once again that our own country’s media tends to selectively censor any story like this.
Something ususally done so that the report fits a particular template of expectations.
Under what law exactly?
From what little info there is, I'd say the thing for the right wing to do is demand actual facts to come out before jumping to conclusions.
That was when the school liason officer/sheriff’s office should have been called to escort the whole freaky family off school property.
There are parents out there that don’t have any ability to
think in the abstract. These parents figured they were
going to secure the son’s love and obedience, by giving
him this coveted object.
They couldn’t conceptualize that their kid would not be
brought under control with this gift. They couldn’t grasp
that he would simply use the gift to fulfill his own agenda.
IMO > these types of parents exceed the danger physically
abusive parents represent, when physical abuse isn’t a
part of the problem.
I doubt these were physically abusive parents. They doted
on the kid and refused to grasp what a danger he was.
They enabled him. That’s what these types of parents do.
Why he could do no wrong.
WRONG!
Re: 15 - That Bronco NEVER went that fast that day!!!
on the morning of the shooting, a teacher found a chilling note on Ethan's desk, which featured disturbing drawings depicting a semi-automatic gun, a bullet, a shooting victim and a laughing emoji.According to the prosecutor, the note included the words ‘blood everywhere,' 'thoughts won't stop, help me,' 'my life is useless' and 'the world is dead.
Jennifer and James were immediately summoned to the school to discuss their son's worrying behavior. A school counselor was able to obtain the note with the drawing, but McDonald said by then the noted had been 'altered.'
The doodles of the gun and the bullet-ridden figure were ‘scratched out,’ as well as Ethan’s writings.
During the meeting, the Crumbleys were shown the note and were advised that they were required to get Ethan into counselling within 48 hours.
According to the prosecutor, the mother and father failed to ask Ethan if he had his gun with him, or where his gun was, and did not inspect his backpack.
McDonald said the parents ‘resisted’ the idea of pulling their son out of the school at that time and left without him.'
Seeing clear evidence that their disturbed son (who they had just bought a pistol) was having serious homicidal and suicidal thoughts and crying out for help, they just walked away. Unreal.
