Almost everyone who sucks on the governments teats for a living is NOT in favor of a shutdown...
I remember the halcyon days when a little admiral formulated the ultimate plan for reducing the costs, waste, and bureaucracy at the Pentagon...
To the best of my memory, it went something like this...
- Day 1: Everyone on the 5th floor (above ground) is fired and all work assignments are xfered to the floors 1-through 4...
- 6-months later: Everyone on the 4th floor is fired and all work assignments are xfered to the floors 1-through 3...
- 6-months later: Everyone on the 3rd floor is fired and all work assignments are xfered to the floors 1& 2...
- 6-months later: Everyone on the 2nd floor is fired and all work assignments are xfered to floor 1..
He (Admiral Rickover) never spoke of the two underground floors...
