I’ve asked that question many times and nobody seems to know the answer. The only people I’m aware of in Trump’s inner circle that had his ear and were with him from the beginning to the end are Jared and Ivanka.

Mr. Kelly is a loyal Catholic. Sadly, he does not understand the dynamic power of pro-life billionaires like Trump, R. Caruso, etc.
Trump picked Kelly. He picked Mattis. He picked Sessions and Tillerson and Mnuchin and DeVos and Carson and all the rest. His picks, in many cases, were terrible and he has nobody but himself to blame. If there is one improvement in his second term I’m really hoping for it’s that he chooses better people for his administration.
