Right on time... Thank you.
Dobbs = Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization
You are welcome. I am listening on CSPAN-3. SCOTUSBlog does a good job, they are doing so on Twitter. I can find an post a link to that as well, if anybody expresses interest.
Opening argument was very brief (I’d guess 90 seconds) then invited questions.
I hit abuse on myself and asked for title to be amedned. Thank you - I was working in a hurry.
Breyer’s point seems poorly formulated.
I’m a complete tyro about online gambling. What’s a good site to place a bet on how ACB will “vote” on this case?
Court TV is covering it also.
The ghost of Arlen Specter is channeling through the liberals . . . stare decisis . . . stare decisis . . . bleah!
Can you imagine Kamala giggling her way through these arguments?
Sotomayor is now testifying about the science of fetal pain.
Because it is.
Sotomayor wonders how the court would survive the stench of reversing itself.
Arrogant insitution. It stinks now. Pure rot.
Sotomayor harping about women’s right to do what they want with their own body. But just fine with jabs wanted or not.
Why is Roberts asking about whether viability in the precedents? What is he driving at?
Sotomayer is pure evil . . . it is sickening to listen to her. Dead people can respond to touch. So she is saying that babies are dead until they leave the womb?
Sotomayor is a self-declared expert on the biological science.
She trotted out the RKBA as at risk, if Roe is at risk.
Which points out the problem with accepting the court when it takes this much power. She is defending the court’s usurpation of power. Total misread of Marbury, which, FWIW, is the problem with SCOTUS in general - it is fundamentally dishonest.
Sotomayor: “Counselor, there is so much that isn’t in the constitution...”. Now she just found a right to homeschooling in the constitution!
Barrett countering Sotomayor’s point.
Breyer is taking the lead in arguing the other side of the case.
