To me, Roberts was saying viability was never supposed to be the rule in Roe.
Not sure. The current legal standard is that a law that proceuldes abortion BEFORE viability is apt to be struck down by the courts.
I think his point is that this line is appropriate.
Sotomayor brings up another SCOTUS decision based on hallucination - the right to homo marriage.
Sotomayor saying this is all a religious issue.

I hope so, but I still don't trust that he hasn't been compromised by the left.
Sotomayor just assumes that SCOTUS is the correct policy making body.
They need to go ahead and vote.... their minds were made up before any arguments were presented... Which decision gets the most women’s votes?

He specifically said, “Blackmun’s papers said viability was dicta.”
Sotomayor concerned about case being too political, then proceeds to argue the left’s political talking points.
The left has a bigger problem. If this is upheld, then abortion is off the table and the rats can no longer run on it.
The court is political. Kagan and the others denying it just makes them dishonest.
Kagen now saying that opposing Roe is just politics and that overturning it would be too political!

If Roe is upheld then millions of conservative Americans, like me, would disengage with the political process and resign ourselves to having no role in our democracy. There will be no reason for us to vote.
Sotomayer is saying that it isn’t the Constitution that rules in this matter, but the feelings of the poor women.
