Trump: McConnell must use debt limit to crush Biden agenda

Former President Trump on Tuesday urged Senate Republicans to use the federal debt limit as leverage to defeat President Biden's social spending and climate bill.

In a Tuesday statement, Trump berated Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and insisted he should prevent Democrats from raising the federal debt ceiling by any means necessary.

"Old Crow Mitch McConnell, who is getting beaten on every front by the Radical Left Democrats since giving them a two-month delay which allowed them to 'get their act together,' must be fully prepared to use the DEBT CEILING in order to totally kill the Democrat's new Social Spending (Wasting!) Bill, which will change our Country forever," Trump said.

Trump has fiercely criticized McConnell for weeks after the minority leader cut a deal with Senate Democrats in October to raise the federal debt limit. His latest barb comes as McConnell and Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) hold discussions over another deal to avert a default by the end of the month.

With days until the U.S. was expected to default, McConnell and 10 other GOP senators voted to break a filibuster on a bill to raise the debt ceiling by $480 billion. That vote allowed Democrats to pass the measure along party lines with a tiebreaking vote from Vice President Harris.

Trump and several GOP senators have ripped McConnell for blinking after Republicans vowed for months to block any Democratic attempt to raise the federal debt limit.

All McConnell is doing right now is figuring out which lube to purchase.

Every future increase in the debt limit will be done solely on party lines.

McConnell doesn’t care because the lube is for our bottoms, not his.

Just had that chance a couple months ago.

Now we have a mandate for putting breathalyzers in cars.

Good luck!

Trump is talking like he actually thinks Mitch is just incompatnt and not malignant. He won’t fight, he’ll appear to fight and then “compromise” such that the dems get what they want and they agree to do the fake negotiation again in six months. He’s been doing this for something like 10 years now, he aint gonna change.

The only good thing about this is that the GOPe is being called out for exactly what they are and always have been — trans-Democrats.

I have been trying to get folks to grasp that Mitch McConnell
is not playing on our team, and hasn’t been.

He could have been a good influence in the Trump administration
helping Trump to appoint rock solid Conservatives. Instead
he dug in his heels and refused to be a valuable resource.

He and Ryan blew one of the most opportune situations in our
nation’s history from January 2017 to January 2019.

By rights, he should have been demoted as early as January
2018. Instead he played the roll of making sure nothing
productive took place, because as head of the party in
the Senate, he and Ryan in the House sat on their hands.

The best way to make sure nothing gets done for your cause,
is to appoint the wrong people to be leaders.

Mitch and Paul couldn’t have been more of a help to the
Leftists, who came right along and started right where
they left off in January 2017.

The GOPe and the RNC NEVER roll things back. NEVER!

They play this little game of blowing up non events to
make it look like they’ve really scored, when in reality
the things they do score on (few and far between), are
simply turned around as soon as the Leftists gain
power again.

This is why we continue to veer Left in this nation.

That and the fact that like Mitch did just recently, they
help pass legislation that moves the Leftist agenda
forward.

Mitch was so pleased he got money for his state out of
that bill. Screw the nation! He got his... his state
got paid off.

Tragic...

If the Republicans in the House and Senate are counting on me to donate another penny to them, they’d better show some ability to unite against the dems and block Biden’s agenda.

Bush League Republicans will always be Assistant Democrats.

Trump has to stop endorsing them.

I think McConnell was playing a mitigation game to keep things all good until the next election. He’s not fighting I think he’s performing some kind of rear guard action at this point in order to keep order until the advantage is gained.

The Republicans are saying that if they regain the majority in the midterms, they’ll have subpoena power and Investigate Hunter Biden.

Yeah, sure, they knew about Biden firing the prosecutor and Hunter’s joint ventures for almost three years - and refused to issue a single subpoena.

They want Joe, they love Joe, they think they need Joe, but they are doing the Election acting.

There is no argument, the Republicans wanted to investigate Trump, but protected Joe Biden for 1,460 days.

A Republican-only investigation of Hunter Biden will have as much credibility as the Democrat-only investigation of January 6th has.

Jan 6th was thousands of peeps and scores of undercover agents leading some groups.

This is the President and his Son. And Biden is on video admitting to Felonies.

Apples and hand grenades.

Still doesn’t change the fact that one committee will be solely Republican and one will be solely Democrat. Both will be easily dismissed by the other side and neither will accomplish anything much.
