Dear Senator Shaheen, Where is your legislation forcing states to legalize abortion? .....or are you content to keep your hands out of the muck while warning SCOTUS against doing the right thing?

Roberts called obamacare an additional taxation, which it is, which is a legal function the legislature performs.
If you recall, the Democrats reeled in horror as it was laid out by Roberts that Bozocare wasn’t a takeover of the medical system but a tax to add an addtional layer of beauracracy on top of the existing medical system.
That the American public just sauntered on as if nothing happened.
Me? I lived and worked under I socialized military dictatorship and it’s medical facilities for decades and then I went on Medicare shortly thereafter and I never experienced the Obamacare.
But in essence just by being in the military it was pretty much socialistic medicine and it was also a military dictatorship. The first week in recruit training the Commandinf Officer of the training center a little talk with the incoming recruits and he basically said “like it or not you are now living in a military dictatorship.” And I never forgot that, which put everything into proper perspective and I had no problem with my time in.

The Democrats can introduce it as an amendment or federalize the regulation of abortions across all 50 states. That is the proper way to do it. The supreme court should not be dictating Constitutional Amendments. The court should have been term limiting such pronouncements by saying..”This ruling will hold for 18 months until congress acts to incorporate it into law with variations should they so decide. If they do not act or if they pass countervening legislation, so long as such legislation passes constitutional muster, this ruling will expire.”
