White House chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci insists that Republicans are actually criticizing science when they criticize him, but Sen. Rand Paul disagrees with the doctor’s political diagnosis.
The Kentucky Republican denounced Dr. Fauci for declaring “I represent science” in a Sunday interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
“The absolute hubris of someone claiming THEY represent science,” tweeted Mr. Paul, who is also a medical doctor. “It’s astounding and alarming that a public health bureaucrat would even think to claim such a thing, especially one who has worked so hard to ignore the science of natural immunity.”
In the interview, Dr. Fauci said there was a “distinct anti-science flavor” to the Republican criticism of his work on COVID-19.

Sen. Cotton joined “Fox & Friends” to discuss Fauci and President Biden’s new travel ban in response to the COVID omicron variant.
TOM COTTON: Tony Fauci lied to Congress and he should be investigated. He repeatedly said that his agency did not fund dangerous and risky gain of function research in those Wuhan labs, which almost certainly was the origin of this virus.
He said it repeatedly to Congress. His agency just admitted a few weeks ago that yes, they did in fact, fund gain of function research. So there’s a lie there. It’s either Tony Fauci lying to Congress or his agency after months of stonewalling, writing a letter to Congress and admitting it. I suspect it’s Tony Fauci lying on the spot in his testimony to Congress. He put the American people at risk by funding this dangerous research, which was happening under the Obama administration, which he thought he knew better than the people’s elected representatives.
It’s just another example of how these bureaucrats think that they are the science, that they represent the epitome of knowledge and those grubby politicians, like the president of the United States and United States senators and representatives, have no business telling them what to do. That’s not the way our democracy functions.

Think the Bureaucratic Doctor is the bought and paid for Reperesentive of the pharmaceutical industry. The other doctor and senator is legislator with a good grasp of basis of modern political rights of man philosophy and also the philosophy of medicine.
One doctor has to get votes and has built a reputation on his political and factual clarity, the other is acquiring epic wealth based on his position. Humm shall we talk observational bias?

When Fauci first arrived at NIH only 6% of Americans reported chronic illness. Today that number is over 50%.
I don’t know how accurate the numbers are for that comment, but I do believe they are in the ballpark.
During the reign of Fauci over NIH big pharma has grown ever more powerful with more drugs and vaccines than anyone could have imagined.

dogmatic resistance of the medical community to counter-facts and results and any form of criticism and disagreement, especially on things that are irreversible once done

In these secular peoples minds, that’s basically saying “I am God”...
Exactly - same door exists in DC for Treasury, the Fed, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, etc etc.

Fauci represents science same as Biden represents the USA.
If I paid a foreign nation’s lab to create a virus that killed
as many people as COVID-19 and variants has, I’d not be asked
to be the lead man to fight against it. I would be placed in
prison and refused to have anything to do with the matter ever
again.
And that sentence would last my full life and if possible
beyond.
One of the considerations would be that that Fauci paid to
have this virus created inside a totalitarian government that
has declared it’s intent to replace our nation as the global
hegemon.
He handed then a weapon against the planet.
It’s not good to see all this infighting at a time when we need a sound policy. I blame all of them in this instance. Just stick to what the science is telling us and formulate a decent policy to protect public health while keeping the economy going.

at least 60% of the lives could have been saved IMHO! But he is a un-scientific FAILURE!! And Rand Paul is exposing him!!
