Delisa Tucker lost her brother to gun violence two years ago, and almost lost her 6-year-old daughter years before that.
Early Wednesday morning, she was attending to yet another family tragedy, the weekend killing of her 14-year-old son Kevin Tinker just down the street from their home in Roseland.
Friends say she was steps from a memorial to her son, intending to light a candle, when there was gunfire. Tucker was hit in the chest and died.
"It's just sad that this whole family, basically, to be killed over time," said Pastor Donovan Price, who said he consoled Tucker at a vigil for her son Sunday night. "I'm devastated."
Chicago police would not say if they suspect the shootings are connected. No one was in custody in either attack.

This is what happens when you hate civilization.
You don’t get to have it anymore.
Let us know when Chicago blacks stop being such complete losers.
I believe I would have moved.
Never, basically. Many buy into the, “I’m a victim, I have no family/supervision, I do what I want” narratives.
These kids are born without daddies, who are gangbanging and/or in prison or wind up dead. They don’t have both parents raising them and fall into their parents’ patterns. The girls get hooked on drugs, knocked up, or turn into gangbangers, and the boys just gangbang and deal the drugs the girls are hooked on.
It’s a nasty cycle.
I live in this area. When you’re low income and don’t own your home, it’s not always possible.
When the prosecutors refuse to lock up the criminals, this is what you get.
Are they sure that she was not killed by and SUV?
Gotta catch ‘em first.
When they are caught, Kim Foxx turns them loose.
More than enabling prosecutors, which certainly add to the problem, this is the result of minority who vilify courtesy, respect, personal responsibility and morality, as constructs of the “white man”, and spurn those ideas at every chance.
That system has to be overwhelmed. Probably can’t afford to deal with all of the petty stuff that eventually becomes serious.
BLM/fellow Marxists’ fault...
Very interesting. Hope you say more about what’s possible and what’s not.
‘Way back in the fifties, my dad used to drive down to The South Side to pick up Tom, a black fellow who worked for his company and came out to our house in Hinsdale some weekends to help with repairs, etc. Then Dad would drive Tom home to his wife, Iris, and their six kids. They’d all be murdered today. Incredibly sad.
Some black lives don’t matter
Sounds targeted. I’m thinking there may be much more to this story.
Those blacks lives don’t matter. Just ask BLM.
When you’re low income and don’t own your home, it’s not always possible.
How much does a bus-ticket to rural America cost?
Regards,
Yeah, just like those four airplanes killed all those people on 9/11!
Baa-ad airplanes!
