“And don’t resist if someone tries to take your car. Your life is not worth it.”
And if you with a woman and they try to take more than just your car?
Equivocation!
A "carjacking" is not the same thing as mere "auto theft."
Regards,
They won’t carjack my 82 Rabbit. Who’d want one?
1. Situational awareness. Be aware of your surroundings.
2. Lock the doors as soon as you get in.
3. Have a gun where you can get to it quickly.
Sure! Just let the ferals take whatever they want. Don’t resist with armed lethal force, whatever you do.
Just lie back and enjoy it.
“And don’t resist if someone tries to take your car and any woman who might be in the car with you at the same time. Your life is not worth it.”
There! Satisfied?
Regards,
If someone tries to carjack me, then that person’s life is just not worth anything. Not that it’s much of an issue here in the boonies. Yet...
Given the number listed in the 500s the reporter is referring to carjackings.
There are 500 “car thefts” a week in Sam Fransisco.
Car theft involves stealing something from a car. Carjacking involves stealing the entire car while the car is occupied and implied the threat of force or violence.
I’m surprised the term “carjacking” hasn’t been deemed racist like looting has.
Good catch. The editor missed it.
Didn’t work out for these people:

I agree except for the part about not resisting. I would emphasize situational awareness, look in your backseat before getting in, lock your doors as soon as you get in, and CARRY YOUR CONCEALED CARRY! It will do you no good locked in the glovebox.
My manual trans is a good protection. If they don’t know how to drive it, they can’t take it!
Appendix carry...
We don’t know why *you* have one and we wish you’d get that heap off the road so you’ll stop holding up traffic. :P
Anyone who looks at me...and sees me walk...knows immediately that I’m not a kid. And I drive a car that’s certainly no Rolls Royce but just as certainly is no Kia. The thought of being carjacked *has* crossed my mind but I never drive anywhere but middle class and upper class areas.
If they’re not from the US, they will likely know how to drive a manual. Security through obscurity is not security.
“And don’t resist if someone tries to take your car. Your life is not worth it.”
Their life is worth it.
L
We recently had a spate of carjackings in upper class areas in Dallas.
Nowhere is safe.
“Out of the car, muffinlicker”
Me: “It’s a 2009”
“OK, I’ll try the car behind you”
What about when you have yous two kids strapped down in the backseat?
