National Urban League CEO Marc Morial said Thursday on MSNBC that the jury in the Kyle Rittenhouse case sent a message of sanctioning “vigilanteism.”
Rittenhouse was acquitted of murder and other charges after he shot and killed two men and injured a third during a Black Lives Matter protest last year in Kenosha, WI.

“Vigilante-ism” is how communities protect themselves when law and order collapses.
Vigilante-ism is the antithesis of anarchy.

Just like law enforcement, a vigilante can be good or bad. In and of itself, there is nothing wrong with being a vigilate. A neighborhood watch is made up of vigilantes.
vigilante
vĭj″ə-lăn′tē
noun
A person who is not a member of law enforcement but who pursues and punishes persons suspected of lawbreaking.
A member of a vigilance committee.
A person who considers it their own responsibility to uphold the law in their neighbourhood.

Marc Morial, true vigilantism would be looking you up and kicking your ass for what you said. Has that happened? Self-defense is when YOU send your thugs to look us up. So, if you haven't had the tar beaten out of you by one of us, then shut up.

Don't overlook the DAs, either.
They may be in disguise in their nice suits - but they're as much a part of the violent mob as Rosenbaum and Grosskreutz.
Even more dangerous, in fact - because they can pursue their victims for years with an unlimited budget.
And they MEAN to maim and/or kill...

The jury seemed to follow the law, and that was extremely refreshing.......for a change.

Did any of these idiot pundits ever watch the actual videos or follow the non-evidence of the prosecution?
Kyle went to Kenosha to assist in first aid. He has a history of helping others such as a lifeguard, cleaning graffiti, and local law enforcement. He knew he was going into a "hot zone" and being practical, he BORROWED his cousin's rifle in that STATE for self-preservation.
He initially retreated and ran from his assailants until they beat him to the ground and attempting to grab his rifle while punching and kicking him. It came time if he wanted to live, he shot them. A former SEAL has said the same on another thread.
I think that kid is bigger man than any of the men in riots of 2020 who did nothing.

More linguistic propaganda.
You’d have to redefine “vigilante”.
I accuse the left of systemic neologism.

Castle Rock v. Gonzales, 545 U.S. 748 (2005), is a United States Supreme Court case that said cops do not have a responsibility to show nor take action if they do.
This moron claim being responsible to defend yourself is vigilantism. The moron is concluding that if the cops do nothing you are to just take whatever violence and liberals throws at you. F that. Kill the violent criminals and protect yourself.

Is vigilantism bad when looters trash and anarchists burn down your neighborhoods? I’ll bet the urban league hates neighborhood watch too.
