NIH Director Francis Collins has a stern message for the American public: The country has, what he called, an epidemic of misinformation and disinformation. And it’s fueling a dangerous distrust in science.

“Conspiracies are winning here. Truth is losing. That’s a really serious indictment of the way in which our society seems to be traveling,” said Collins, who will soon step down as the National Institutes of Health director after serving in both Republican and Democratic administrations.

EXACTLY the right question.

Isn't “distrust in science” the very reason science keeps digging further? Isn't that the reason, after Newton, we needed Einstein? The very ESSENCE of science is to distrust itself. The understanding that we DON'T know all we can, is what propels further discovery.

The instant science cannot be questioned, it ceases to be science, and becomes some sort of religious sect.

I am not even going to type them all out - it is a long list with great detail. It was all WRONG.

Joe tells Merrick Garland he wants action, and Merrick Garland sics the FBI on the “domestic terrorist” group. Doors get kicked in and innocent families are terrorized with the New York Times and CNN holding the FBI beers and hollaring, “You Go Girls!” Message sent.
