LAST MONDAY, a Democratic firm hosted focus groups with women in Virginia who voted in 2017 for Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam, in 2020 for Democratic President Joe Biden, and then this month for Republican Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin. It was centered on suburban women: a group that pivoted significantly to the right in the governor’s election.
Consultant Danny Barefoot said that Anvil Strategies called roughly 30,000 people in Virginia. Most didn’t answer, but several hundred of them fit the criteria he was looking for: people who voted Democrat, Democrat, Republican in the last three elections. Those people were called back and offered a $100 gift card if they’d do a lunch-hour Zoom and talk about why they voted the way they did. Ninety-six women, a fifth of whom were not white, were broken into three different sessions. Barefoot sat in on one of them and got permission from the funders to share quotes and results.
Focus groups are put together differently than surveys, which weigh the responses to reflect the population at large. While 96 respondents isn’t enough for a robust polling sample, it’s a chance to dig deeper into the views of a slice of the electorate. Virginia is about two-thirds white, and this sample was 79 percent white — so slightly whiter than the state at large but not by a ton. Eleven percent of them were Black women, 6 percent Latina, and 4 percent Asian American. They came from around the state. Barefoot said he didn’t ask about college education, because what he was interested in was people who lived in the suburbs regardless of race or educational background.
What Barefoot found is that while the women agreed with Democrats on policy, they just didn’t connect with them.

I pray the my fellow Americans are coming to their senses.
I don’t blame them for disliking Trump but Biden/Harris was not a good alternative. I wish my fellow Americans would look more closely at positions on issues rather than personalities.
So, all that’s left are ‘un-normal’ voters?.................. like DEAD ones?................

Notice the “angle” on the story—how _Democrats_ can convince more people to vote for them....

It’s hard for me to believe there are any ‘normal’ Democrats.
Maybe Barefoot would have gotten a higher response rate if he had agreed to wear shoes.
People may not love traditional America, but they sure don’t
love traditional U. S. S. R. either.
I suspect we’re going to see more sanity ahead.
If you live near a town where the business district has been

People have had it with both of them. Leftist city
governments are not all that in favor at this time either.
If you look at the breakdown the democrats are the party of singles. Which is why they have tried so hard to destroy marriage and family.
We still make up the majority.
But perhaps not for long.
Most just listen to what the media tells them think and feel. Most are too lazy to find out for themselves. That’s my take, anyway.
Hilarious the Intercept tries to spin this as some grand Republican Strategy and the government schools trying to indoctrinate kids into CRT and Socialism is not real...why its all just made up you see......As if anybody would buy that steaming pile of excrement.
Another group of the electorate I’m amazed has not turned on Democrats even more is Blacks. Let’s think about it....they oppose school choice, they leave the borders wide open to bring in a flood of cheap labor, they impose draconian vaccine mandates that throw people out of their jobs (what group is the least likely to be vaccinated?), they push for vaccine passports, they drive up the price of gas/home heating oil, just about all goods....if the Democrats wanted to harm Black people, what more could they do? I saw where Brandon’s support among Blacks dropped from 72% to 52%. That’s still WAY too high.
Women will continue to vote Socialist. Freedom isn’t that important to them as long as they can have their abortions and get taken care of by daddy gummit.
I doubt it too. The problem is that pollsters will ask about a party’s policies; if they ask about policies without identifying party, the vast majority of voters support policies that turn out to be — Trump policies.

Agreed. Then they hear sensational BS stories and react accordingly.
What policy would that be? Defund the police? Marginalize whitey? Illegals uber alles?
Or the platitudes offered by their media puppets such as warm and fuzzy quality education and equity?
