A twisted New Jersey mother charged with killing her two children duct-taped their faces and suffocated them — cruel slayings that she planned in advance, authorities said.
Yuhwei Chou, 36, of Skillman, told cops in Hillsborough Township after her arrest Tuesday that she killed Samantha Ross, 7, and her 11-month-old brother, Paul, a day earlier, according to an affidavit obtained by MyCentralJersey.com.
After stopping at a Wawa for lunch, Chou drove to a hardware store and bought the sinister supplies before heading to Mountainview Road in Hillsborough, where she started to tape Samantha’s face, but got “spooked” by a bystander, the affidavit states.
She then drove to a nearby hunting area and climbed into the backseat before zip-tying Samantha’s and Paul’s hands, and taping their faces, according to the affidavit.
Chou told cops she proceeded to use her hands to suffocate both of her kids until they stopped breathing — adding she had been planning the double murder for “approximately one week,” the document states.
A witness alerted cops to Chou’s gray Toyota Corolla after spotting the car in a ditch early Tuesday. The woman’s hands were zip-tied to the steering wheel at the time, investigators wrote.
The witness also saw the two dead children in a booster and baby seat in the back of the Corolla, where they were bound and restrained.

The State would have allowed her to kill the children in her womb. I presume the State won’t put her to death in NJ. Anyone who thinks that God still blesses the State needs to rethink.
Skank should be tried, sentenced to death, and executed before Thanksgiving.

I don’t know whether the father is married to the mother, but the children had his last name. He has spoken out in grief.
The child had the last name of Ross so I’m guessing this was a revenge killing ageist the father.
I can think of nothing worse then to lose your children. And like this? He must be going through hell.

I had not read this before with respect to Korean married women.
However, it is very common among older and/or more traditional Japanese married women who are being cheated on/divorced - usually because hubby has taken up with another (usually younger) woman. Normally, it is a murder/suicide. Socially, the jilted wife is now considered to be “spoilt goods” (especially if she is middle aged and has had children) and traditionally would have been gossiped about and criticized for being unable to hold on to her husband. The disgrace and social stigma of a failed marriage were often too much to bear. So revenge murders of children followed by suicide were often a way of tidying the situation up. And the Japanese are a tidy people.
Japanese attitudes towards divorce have evolved in recent decades and taking such drastic action as murdering your children and killing yourself is no longer an expected response. These days, there is a good possibility the offending woman will be sued in court for disturbing the family’s harmony. And, in severe cases, hubby will get both barrels (legally speaking) as well. But it still happens enough to be a regular theme in television entertainment programming,
My Japanese wife is of the older generation. I don’t/didn’t fool around but I know I’m safe from lethal consequences, She has lived in the United States for many decades and knows (mostly from her fellow Japanese women friends who are married (or were married) to gaijins (foreigners)) that a good divorce lawyer can make the settlement far more painful than mere physical death.
That knowledge stills many a fatal hand.

No matter what there is no excuse for killing your kids.
theres no mention because the world we live in says fathers are not important, they are disposable and replaceable
and the women of today have almost universally adopted this attitude

That poor 7 year old knew exactly what was happening, but she was probably physically overpowered by the mom or shocked into unbelieving stillness.
