Reps. Liz Cheney (Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (Ill.), are expressing support for censuring their fellow Republican Rep. Paul Gosar (Ariz.) for posting a photoshopped anime video this week depicting himself killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).
Cheney and Kinzinger have frequently criticized their own party over its continued ties to former President Trump, but it is nevertheless extraordinarily rare for lawmakers to back censure efforts against members of their own party.
A group of House Democrats, led by Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.), formally introduced a resolution on Friday to censure Gosar over the video, which the Arizona Republican defended as a "symbolic" fight over immigration but appeared to remove it from Twitter following the outcry.

They aren't better. They tell different lies, that's the only difference. Liz Cheney is trying to be the standard bearer as a 2024 candidate who stands for openly giving the finger to the base and planning to win the nomination on the backs of the party bosses and the big money donors alone. I wouldn't be surprised if they circle the wagons and make it happen.

Waht Cheny and her Mini-Me Kinzinger are considering is of course disloyal and nonproductive, but Gosar was naive to think he would not get an out of proportion pushback on his little gag.
AOC and her ilk are constantly on the prowl for any reason to bash any male member of congress, especially any white male republican. He should have known better. Known that AOC can’t take a joke without overreacting as a way to get more attention.
Nancy Pelosi is more than happy to assist with this farce, as a way of apologizing to te progressives for dismantling and postponing their Build Back Better plan.
