Jack Ciattarelli, a Republican who challenged New Jersey incumbent governor Phil Murphy in the 2021 gubernatorial race, is expected to concede on Friday, reported the New Jersey Herald.
As of Thursday, Murphy leads Ciattarelli by nearly 74,000 votes with all votes counted, stated NJ.com, citing The Associated Press. Murphy received 51 percent of the votes while Ciattarelli got 48 percent, according to NJ.com.
On Monday, Murphy called on his challenger to concede saying, “When it’s mathematically impossible to win, I think it’s dangerous” to not concede, reported the New Jersey Globe.
On Nov. 3, The Associated Press declared the Democrat governor winner, with 98 percent of precincts reporting and with more than 2.3 million votes cast.
Tallying votes in New Jersey took longer than expected as the state implemented this year new technology to support the election, including new voting machines. For example, in Paterson, election officials could not count ballots because they accidentally locked the machines, according to the New Jersey Herald.
In Newark and some other New Jersey cities, poll workers in 56 districts did not count votes due to “poll worker error,” reported the New Jersey Herald. A judge order was needed to reinstate their access to the machines.
Ciattarelli is a former New Jersey assemblyman, a certified public accountant, a two-time small-business owner, and a lifelong resident of New Jersey.
He campaigned under the banner “Let’s Fix New Jersey.” He told New Jerseyans that, as a governor, he would address the state’s most pressing issues, such as the highest property taxes in the nation, state government overspending, insufficient support for local and state police, and reforming public school curriculum. Ciattarelli also promised to foster business growth and create more jobs in the state.
Murphy has held leadership roles at Goldman Sachs’s offices in Germany and Hong Kong for more than 20 years and served as an ambassador to Germany during the Obama administration. He was also a finance chair for the Democratic National Committee.
He campaigned on a range of policies implemented during his tenure as governor, such as tax fairness for middle-class families, minimum wage at $15 an hour, more affordable public education, more child care, Democrat-backed green policies, and legalizing marijuana. His campaign’s slogan was: “It’s about how we move forward.”
Murphy was endorsed by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for reelection, and former President Barack Obama and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) stumped for Murphy at his campaign rallies.
The incumbent governor is the first Democrat to win reelection in New Jersey since Brendan Byrne in 1977.
He won his first term in 2017 with 56 percent of the vote, beating Republican then-Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno who received 42 percent of the vote.

After the USA splits, I don’t want NJ anywhere in the new republic. And that is not just because I’m binge watching “The Sopranos”.
God the jersey accents are worse than scratching a blackboard.

Turnout could not exceed the margin of fraud. Oh, well...sucks to be in NJ.

Anyone who was paying attention knew that the AssPress Count in Bergen County was wrong.
1. The count was DIFFERENT on the Bergen County website.
2. The count was low and election results gurus noticed it immediately.
People need to understand that the AssPress UNOFFICIAL numbers are NOT real. They have been horribly incompetent over the past few elections.
They did the EXACT same thing in Virginia. The difference between Virginia and New Jersey was that Virginia had a public database on the VPAP page, where you could figure out how many mail in votes and early vote hadn’t been counted.
The AssPress feed had the Virginia Beach and Chesterfield Counts terribly wrong on more than one occasion.
What happened in Bergen was easily explainable without it being a crazy conspiracy theory.
New Jersey was just a little bit too much of a heavy lift. The swing was about 12 points from 2020. Virginia was +10 D. New Jersey was +16 D.
Guess what, a 12 point uniform swing puts those results exactly where they ended up.

The late-arriving ballots they produce are actually valid votes.....suddenly “found.”
The crooks literally hold back the valid ballots ........as an insurance policy against a bad electoral result.
All of the bogus votes are the ones counted first..... very soon after the polls close, when most honest people think the risk of dirty tricks happening is nil.
Nobody ......except the losing candidate ......knows that the actual winning candidate candidate is about to lose the race.

The problem is North Jersey. Jack won South Jersey. North Jersey is holding us hostage.

I’ve never heard of Republican votes found after an election.
Democrats find them all the time.

The mail in vote comes in late. That's just a fact. People need to understand, good or bad, that we now have three different voting systems in place, and they are have VERY different electorates. We can SEE the differences in the data:
Election Day only vote was = Republican by 14.3 points Mail only vote was Democrat by 50.3 points. The Democrat slime love voting by mail.

“Glad President Trump didn’t waste much, if any, time helping Ciattarelli.”
Haha, President Trump’s involvement would only have hurt Jack in NJ. He would have sent Democrat turnout through the roof.

With a 74,000 margin, a recount is absolutely pointless.
Only 3 statewide races have been overturned by a recount in the history of the US. In each case, the initial margin was less than 1,000 votes.

If Jack was Pro-Trump and ended up getting Trumps’ endorsement, instead of the opposite, then, the final result would, probably, be different!

a recount is absolutely pointless. Yes, recounting fraudulent votes is pointless. That is why a forensic audit needs to be conducted.

all races that are within 1-5% are suspect
when cheating, you never want a blow out. otherwise, if it wasn’t expected, the people would demand audits (like that does anything these days). protecting the cheat is all that matters. as such, they always go for the slim victory as they control the count.
only with massive, unexpected turnout numbers does it become a problem and they lose the election... as was the case with 2016.
nothing has been changed with the voting systems. there are no safeguards in place to catch or prosecute the criminals.

(You are not a horse, you are not a cow. Seriously, y'all. Stop it.)
I don’t think this is the same as the 2020 Election, because the votes remaining were in Camden and Newark when Ciattarelli was only ahead by a little. Bergen County may have had fraud, because Murphy increased his vote total in a Republican leaning county from 2017, and I don’t think he did that in other counties.
