The White House on Monday said businesses should move forward with President Joe Biden’s vaccine and testing requirements for private businesses, despite a federal appeals court ordering a temporary halt to the rules.
“People should not wait,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters during a briefing. “They should continue to move forward and make sure they’re getting their workplace vaccinated.”
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, considered one of the most conservative appellate courts in the country, halted the requirements Saturday pending review, writing that “the petitions give cause to believe there are grave statutory and constitutional issues with the Mandate.”
The Biden administration has until Monday evening to respond.
The court-ordered pause came a day after the requirements went into effect, starting the countdown for businesses with 100 or more employees to ensure their staff have received the shots required for full vaccination by Jan. 4. After that date, unvaccinated workers must submit a negative Covid-19 test weekly to enter the workplace. All unvaccinated workers must start wearing face masks indoors at their workplaces starting Dec. 5.
The Republican attorneys general in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Utah, as well as several companies, requested the pause. They argue that the requirements exceed the authority of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which will enforce the mandates, and amount to an unconstitutional delegation of power to the executive branch by Congress.
Republican attorneys general in at least 26 states have challenged Biden’s vaccine and testing requirements in five different U.S. appeals courts since last Friday. The Republican National Committee said it has also challenged the requirements in the D.C. Court of Appeals.
Dems cry about Trump being a fascist and he obeyed Federal circuit court decisions that stopped his EOs. Biden tells the Fed courts to “stuff it” and ignores rulings he doesn’t like. Sounds like the great unwashed/ignorant masses need to re-examine the whom the Dems call fascists.
The white house also ignored the courts opinion on the rent and mortgage moratorium. A pattern of tyranny is emerging.

from government participation as can be achieved.
Absolutely everything they do seems to aim at making things worse.
“Should” is better than “must.” On the door of our church it reads “Masks expected.” As a retired lawyer I see that as a go ahead without a mask and in fact this weekend our pastor/priest did not wear a mask.
Yep, this was the whole point of the proposed mandates. Get private businesses to force their employees to be vaccinated or be fired.
Watch Dr. Michael Yeadon’s videos. He says the goal is control over every aspect of our lives via digital vaccine passports. First it will be required of adults, and eventually adults will be forced to have their children vaccinated or be banned basically from all economic activity. You and yours will get jabbed or starve.
Why would this be any different than him ignoring the SCOTUS ruling that remain in Mexico must stay in effect!! WHY in the hell should they obey laws NOW they have broken THOUSANDS of laws and NOTHING is ever done to the EVER!!!

This is why we have the balance of power because if there was no power to counter Biden, he would indeed be a tyrant. He can’t help himself. I wonder if he would purge like Stalin if there was no one to stop him?

From some of the other articles on Biden and the mandate, apparently the mandate is the only issue on which Biden is polling above water. I guess about 58% of poll respondents actually approved of the mandate so Biden is understandably reluctant to back off what is keeping him from the teens in approval polls.
We haven’t worn masks in church since May of 2020.
Two more groups associated with the democrats that are this lawless, the Chicago mob and the Mexican drug cartels. Without question there are many more.
When you starve people that is when revolutions begin.
I imagine the States would succeed from the Union if they can’t get the courts to rule in their favor.
Deadline just passed, 5pm, I think Central time, and I don't see any reason the government would not have been ready to reply - I assume the government has replied.
Hang the accused now?
Hold the trial later?
