Illinois House Republican floor leader won’t seek another term in Legislature: ‘I’m choosing to move out’

A Will County Republican who had one of the top political jobs in the state Legislature — but didn’t hesitate to reach out to Democrats on issues where he saw common ground — announced Wednesday that he won’t seek another term.

First elected in 2014, Batinick is currently serving his fourth term representing portions of the far southwest and western suburbs including Oswego, Naperville, Bolingbrook, Joliet and Shorewood.

The suburban lawmaker was named the Republican’s House floor leader in January, a post that generally designates the person in charge of the party’s organization or strategy when the chamber is in session.

But Batinick has reached across the aisle during his time in office, recently co-sponsoring a measure that would create a licensing process for the newly created job of certified professional midwives and another that requires the teaching of Asian American history in public elementary and high schools.

Early in the pandemic, Batinick sent a letter to Gov. J.B. Pritzker urging him to require face coverings in public shortly before the Democratic governor implemented a mask mandate for the state.

“— but didn’t hesitate to reach out to Democrats on issues where he saw common ground — “
Translation: He was a slimy, stinkin’, bottom-dwelling RINO deserving of tar, feathers, and the guillotine.
Eff him and the horse he probably screwed after riding in on it.

Illinois is littered with RINOs. That is why the state has been a perpetual sh!thole for decades. I think the Uniparty was founded in that state.

Why do the totally impotent Republicans in the Illinois House even need a “floor leader”? What is there to lead?

BTW, I look forward to any story from the Chicago media — or ANY media — which praises a Democrat legislator for “reaching across the aisle” to Republicans (not RINOs).

But there are no such Democrats, and that wouldn’t be something the media wants to promote anyway. Democrats are allowed to fake towards the center (i.e., lie) if that’s necessary to get elected, but it must be just talk and never anything more.

What on earth would he have in common with Democrats?

My Illinois State Rep Tim Butler owes Republicans a Public Apology and needs to be Censured by Illinois Republican Party

My Illinois State Rep Tim Butler of the Illinois 87th District, used his public elected position to denounce Donald Trump and other Republicans.

I believe in free speech, But when you use your Public Elected position as an Illinois House Representative and you Bloviate on the floor of the Illinois General Assembly and say “If you’re not stepping up and denouncing this, no matter where you fall on the political spectrum, I don’t have a place for you, because you need to denounce this.”

Well, State Rep Tim Butler If you do not publically apologize after the FBI report came out 8/20/2021 FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources.

I Don’t have a Place for you either Mr. Tim Butler! Because you need to Denounce all of your erroneous statements.

The Sangamon Republican Party needs to deal with this Posturing immediately and have the Couage to CENSURE Illinois State Rep Tim Butler and his scandalous accusations in light of the FBI report 8/20/2021

This letter is a response from my RINO CONGRESSMAN Darrin LaHood. I asked what he is doing about the Invasion at the Border:

On day one since President Biden took office, he dramatically changed border policies such as President Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy for asylum-seekers that has helped stem the tide of illegal immigration. The Biden Administrations open-door policy has been a disaster for America.

You may be interested to know that I am a member of the Border Security Caucus. I recognize that securing our nation’s borders is of critical importance to our national security. One of the biggest issues facing our country is our broken immigration system. The continued influx of illegal immigration across our southern border has placed an overwhelming strain on federal resources as well as local communities across the country. The development of a comprehensive strategy for securing our border is essential. In 2021, the U.S. Border patrol has reported more than 1 million encounters with illegal migrants along the U.S. Mexico Border, which is a 21-year high. According to the Department of Homeland Security, there are now more than 11 million illegal aliens residing in the United States, who make up more than five percent of the civilian workforce.

While the U.S. has a history of being a nation of immigrants, it is equally important to our society that our laws be fairly and consistently enforced. Further, our immigration system does not currently serve the best interests of those individuals who have legally applied to work and reside in the United States and the safety and security of our citizens. I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind as Congress continues to consider immigration reform and legislation.

Thank you again for contacting me. Please stay in touch and share your views as we discuss these issues in Congress.
