These days, workers who refuse to get vaccinated against covid-19 may face financial repercussions, from higher health insurance premiums to loss of their jobs. Now, the financial fallout might follow workers beyond the grave. If they die of covid and weren’t vaccinated, their families may not get death benefits they would otherwise have received.
New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority no longer pays a $500,000 death benefit to the families of subway, bus and commuter rail workers who die of covid if the workers were unvaccinated at the time of death.
“It strikes me as needlessly cruel,” said Mark DeBofsky, a lawyer at DeBofsky Sherman Casciari Reynolds in Chicago who represents workers in benefit disputes.
Other employers have similar concerns about providing death or other benefits to employees who refuse to be vaccinated.

I'm still waiting on the federal government to mandate that health insurance be cancelled for anybody unjabbed.
I'm still waiting on the federal government to threaten withholding highway funds from states that don't cancel DL's for the unjabbed.

I wane to see exactly what the actuarial tables say on this, the insurance companies know and have the data.
Always nice to see an insurance contract where the insurer can just unilaterally change the rules any time they want. Sorry for your loss — we’ve just decided we aren’t going to pay for it.
So....ok to apply same logic to gay lifestyle choice which actually has a much higher death rate?

If that exclusion was not in the contract, that is going to cause some big lawsuits.

If the courts were not corrupt then this would never be allowed. People who have taken the vaccine die from covid on a regular basis. People die from the vaccine too.
I’d like to leave what I’ve got to somebody that deserves it. :)
I would expect that they would wait until the current contract expires and this would be part of the contract negotiations.
But who knows? Maybe the contract between the insurer and the NYMTA allows for such changes in “emergencies.” Or the insurance company told NYMTA that they would not be renewed if they didn’t implement this immediately.
The "vaccines" do not prevent you from transmitting the virus to others.
You are just as likely to be infected by a vaxxed person than an unvaxxed.
Many populations with the highest vaccination rates are having the worst outbreaks, with the majority of hospitalizations and deaths among the vaccinated.
Obviously, tyrannically forcing everybody to get vaccinated isn't about the public good.
Just, what is it about?
