Wow: A Voting Error Was Just Fixed in New Jersey and Jack Ciattarelli is Back Up in the Governor’s Race

A voting error was just fixed in New Jersey and GOP candidate Jack Ciattarelli is back up in the race after briefly trailing to incumbent Democratic Governor Phil Murphy.

“The early vote was double-counted in Hudson County,” National Political Correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC Steve Kornacki reported. “It has now been fixed, bringing Murphy’s total down by 10,732 and Ciattarelli’s by 2,842. Ciattarelli goes back up in the statewide tally: Ciattarelli (R): 1,177,803 (49.6%) Murphy (D) 1,177,108 (49.6%).”

As reported at Becker News earlier, there have been other anomalies in the New Jersey governor’s race. A disturbing phenomenon was observed by political watchers on election night: Bergen County was seen flipping from GOP candidate Jack Ciattarelli to Dem candidate Phil Murphy after 100% of the votes were reported.

Screenshots taken from NY Times election reporting confirm that Bergen County’s election support flipped from Ciattarelli to Murphy with 100% reported. Earlier in the night, Bergen was 55/45 Ciattarelli with 40% reported in the county.

A 700 vote differential? NJ Dems are sure to come up with that.

Hudson County? Must have been a traffic jam as those tombstones moved back to the cemetery.

If Ciattarelli WINS he might demand a recount. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to be governor of a dump like New Jersey where you’d be totally handcuffed by a Democrat-controlled legislature.

Yes, and if the vote total is more than the people registered to vote that’s a problem

And as a result, Democrats seen scrambling to the nearest warehouse for more mail in ballots.

And how does it only happen one direction? What are the odds of it being an accident?

I’ve said on other posts - my mother was a volunteer poll-watcher and canvasser in our county from the 1960s through the 1980s

They used analogue machines and paper ballots. Their results were always submitted by 10 pm, and she was normally home just after 11 PM on election day.

There was never any question over counts or ballots.

Now we have election season, instead of election day, and counting goes on for days afterwards. The distrust just grows and grows.

Yes, but something like this may well p*ss off the D’s if the ‘last minute mail-in votes added’ included enough fraudulent ones to push the D over the hill. Now they can’t go back and add a few more.

...outside of the ‘magically we found more votes’ - which is what will be needed now.

This is all such BS. It can’t be acceptable for one party to primarily use mail-in voting and add them to the total only at the end of the day of the election once the polls are closed and seeing the final tally - minus mail-ins. It’s just unacceptable.
