Arizona Senate President Karen Fann retiring

PHOENIX - The Republican who has served as president of the Arizona Senate for the past three years and oversaw an unprecedented review of 2020 election results in the state’s most populous county announced Monday she will not seek reelection in 2022.

Sen. Karen Fann said in a statement that after nearly 30 years serving in local government and at the Legislature, she will retire. The move comes as the Republican-controlled Legislature prepares for a 2022 session where the results of the election "audit" will be a key issue. The review found President Joe Biden did win Arizona, but it raised unsubstantiated questions about aspects of the election.

"I did my job. I stepped up, served my country, served my people," Fann told The Associated Press. "It’s time for somebody else to step up now."

Fann said the election review and the intense national scrutiny it brought did not factor into her decision to retire.

That’s a shame, she has been a strong leader.

The “audit” was terrible. They found procedural errors, lack of documentation, and chain of custody gaps, but did not identify a single missing vote for Trump.

All we got was hucksters looking to milk it, bolstered my moles and trolls pushing wacky theories to point people AWAY from the real problems - ballot harvesting.

A complete embarrassment.

Fann represents the conservative Quad Cities area (Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Dewey). Whoever wins the Republican primary will win easily.

"We're going to audit the entire election!"

"Well, yes, you can do that, but there are two things you can't do - canvass and check signatures."

"And why should we limit ourselves on those things!"

"Because here's a million dollars to have a Chinese Fire Drill over the rest of the process."

"OK! I'll take it!"

What a scam.

Did you read the report? The audit found more than 70000 ballots in Maricopa County counted that should have been thrown out.

5000 ballots cast by people under age 18
36000 ballots cast by non-citizens
26000 ballots cast by people living in another county
12000 ballots cast by people from another of state.

We just don’t know if those 70000 ballots helped Biden or Trump. This happened in just one county that went for Biden so you do the math.

Oh, yes, I have read and heard this. Pinal County is next up for an audit. Heard it is worse there.

57,000 bad ballots says otherwise.

None of those could be identified as flipped for Trump.

This was a clown show.

So far as I'm concerned, they have *ALL* been "identified" as fake Biden votes.

An ordinary citizen would not have to given the government designed by our founders. The matter would be resolved by our chosen representatives and that includes prosecuting any officials that ignored election laws. Failing that, those politicians would be immediately held accountable.

So, they know Biden cheated to win, they just can't PROVE how he did it. Of course, that was by design.
