The Wisconsin Elections Commission held an emergency meeting and its members shot back after a county sheriff claimed that it violated state law during the 2020 election.
A statement signed by five of the six commissioners, released Thursday after the meeting jumped immediately into a closed session, denied the WEC broke the law when it permitted nursing homes to allow staff instead of special voting deputies to assist residents with completing ballots because of the coronavirus pandemic.
"We knew that for the protection of residents, only essential workers (which did not include SVDs) were being allowed into facilities across the state," said Commissioner Julie Glancey. "As such, we knew it was essential to preserve the right to vote for those residents, so rather than require the absurdity of sending SVDs to knock on a locked door, we pivoted to the absentee voting process."

The sheriff's investigators dealt with this horseMitt.
I know, because I blew a gasket when I saw their notes.
They were NOT supposed to be there.
This Julie Glancey is a lying POS.
My mom worked as a nurse in a rest home since the 70’s. She worked the 3 - 11 shift.
She’s said ever since she started working there it’s common practice for the aids and nurses on the day shift to “help” the mentally challenged vote.
I was surprised after my mother’s passing to receive an absentee ballot from the local Democrat party mailed to her care facility.
You shouldn’t be. You have to proactively ask the voter registration office in your county to remove a dead person from the rolls and actively follow-up. Same thing if you move.
P
My Mom was a big wheel {local} in the demonRAT party and she voted twice after she died.
It took multiple trips to the Court House to get her name scrubbed from the rolls.
The demonRATs have cheated, lied and stolen votes {and money} since before the US had a Constitution.
The demonRATs are the party of communists, they are not good people, they are either evil or stupid or both.
The video covered, like the fish tank cleaner, the appliance repair person… only essential workers!
So... Bonnie and Clyde were SAVING that money from the Banks.
So, why were Special Voting Deputies not considered “essential workers”? Who made that decision?
This is an admission of guilt. The Sheriff disclosed in his presentation that PLENTY of other types of workers/visitors were going into these buildings, including ‘fish tank cleaner’. To think that they could dissolve the role of the SVD without the legislature was criminal. They had been told they didn’t have the authority to do this and did it anyway.
Does anyone believe that the elderly weren’t being deliberately used for fraudulent votes? The presentation for a SINGLE care home showed zero security with the ballots and ‘voters’ that wouldn’t have voted or weren’t competent enough to vote - multiply across hundreds of similar care homes.
This BS excuse doesn’t fly.
Commissioner Glancy: “this is outrageous! We must make sure we don’t get caught again”
Huh - in an age of instantaneous event driven cancel culture, it seems awfully strange that the system can’t remove them automatically.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission IS the problem in our state!
Fighting THEM is going to be Sisyphus rolling that boulder up a hill day after day after day.
BUT - at least SOMEONE is standing up to them! They ALL need to be FIRED.
Glad we have YOU on the Frontline.
It’s encouraging to learn that the mentally challenged vote. Explains a lot. /s
When I worked in elections, we had staff in the Clerk’s Office who had to go through obits and identify the deceased so rolls could be current.
Sisyphus needs aD8
Some clerks do and many don’t. I always verify.
