You shouldn’t be. You have to proactively ask the voter registration office in your county to remove a dead person from the rolls and actively follow-up. Same thing if you move.

Huh - in an age of instantaneous event driven cancel culture, it seems awfully strange that the system can’t remove them automatically.

When I worked in elections, we had staff in the Clerk’s Office who had to go through obits and identify the deceased so rolls could be current.
