Former FBI General Counsel James Baker will likely be called to testify in the case against former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, who is charged with lying to advance the bureau’s Trump-Russia collusion probe....
...Andrew deFilippis, an assistant counsel for Special Counsel John Durham, said during a virtual status conference Tuesday that they are planning to call Mr. Baker as a witness during the trial which could begin next spring, The Washington Examiner reported....

When will H->! be locked up?
A trial next spring.
Well, that will keep the paychecks coming...
Yawn.
In the year 2525...
I would suggest this...for all this Russiagate stuff to be invented....Hillary had to go pay someone (with various people in the middle). I doubt if she used campaign funds or personal funds....so the obvious hint here...the Clinton Charity Foundation probably figures to be the money-pit that they paid for ‘services’.
It won’t lead back to Hillary, but someone in the very top of the foundation...is going to spend a lot of time in court and probably end up with a prison sentence.
I think that might be considered cruel and unusual punishment for the other inmates.
Are we to expend all this time, effort, money and 81,000 pages of documents for no purpose other than to secure another slap on the wrist as was administered to Kevin Kleinsmith? I am aware that is quite fashionable now to dismiss special investigator Durham’s aging investigation as just one more Washington two-step, but perhaps all of this is, after all, an effort to roll up Sussman and start up the food chain.
At least we have a right to hope.
Predictably, the post was met with replies that condescendingly charged naïveté for even suggesting that there should be hope, as though the import of the original post did not fully discount that likelihood.
With a Democrat president in office who has so obviously politicized and criminalized his Justice Department, can one doubt that Biden will freely pardon Sussman if convicted? Among those who would not doubt, at least not seriously doubt it, is Sussman himself.
Therefore, Sussman has little reason to flip and would be better off playing for acquittal, counting on a slap of the wrist if convicted and, finally, relying on a pardon if seriously sentenced to preserve his subsequent chances for a favorable position somewhere in the leftist universe. It is not inconceivable that he could end up, like McCabe, on CNN. Why is there greater leverage on Sussman now than could have been applied to Kevin Kleinsmith who emerged with his image, if not burnished, at least not fatally tarnished?
Unless Durham has something more, what could be motivating him to continue now other than a rather obsessive sense of justice? The likely outcome is that it will not put Sussman away for long time and thus have small deterrent value and equally small power to flip Sussman, so why is Durham undertaking this action which might reflect badly on himself when it comes to the end?
NEXT SPRING????? OMG!
This reminds me of that Bugs Bunny cartoon with the turtle and the race where the turtle takes forever and ever. Why does it take democrats mere months to prosecute and lock someone up but it takes Republicans years or in the case of Hillary decades?
Six months. Seems like a long time. “These things must be done delicately.”
If man is still alive
if woman can survive
they may find…..
I do believe, however, that’s how long it will take, till someone goes to the hoosegow over this. 👎
He said he no longer has a clear recollection of his 2016 meeting with Sussman.
The FBI man took no notes and did not write an after the fact memorandum.
The FBI intelligence executive that the General Counsel phoned immediately after the Sussman conversation did take contemporaneous notes.
The intelligence executive wrote down that Sussman worked for Perkins Coie, and that Sussman represented the Clinton Foundation and the Democratic National Committee.
Those notes completely undermine Durham's claim that Sussman lied to the General Counsel and told him he did not represent anyone with a political conflict of interest.
The criminal case against Sussman will go no where in a Washington D.C. courtroom.
20 Oct: Substack: Indicted Clinton lawyer hired CrowdStrike, firm behind dubious Russian hacking claim
The indictment of Michael Sussmann raises new questions about Russiagate’s foundational Russian hacking allegation. That claim originates with CrowdStrike — a firm hired and overseen by Sussmann.

Nothing will happen as the statute of limitations passes by…
Another nothing burger. What a joke.
“So why is Durham undertaking this action which might reflect badly on himself when it comes to the end?”
His job is to run out the clock. Once he does that he will be offered a very lucrative position at a top flight law firm or lobbying group.
