The penny drops! Yellen concedes inflation will last until late 2022 - and won't be 'temporary' like Biden said: White House holds weekly meetings to try and stem surging prices

President Biden's top advisers now meet at least once a week to discuss how to tackle the supply chain crisis and curb rampant inflation.

The advisors discuss ways to relieves backlogs at US ports, how to recruit truck drivers and how to produce more semiconductors within the US, according to the New York Times.

The Biden administration is finally trying to grapple with persistent inflation that they for months insisted would be transitory. But on Monday, Treasury Sec. Janet Yellen said they expected it to persist until mid to late next year.

Keep printing paper money out of thin air and wonder why we have inflation.

We’ll print another 3 trillion dollars. What could go wrong.

This is purposeful. They know what they are doing. These releases and reports are just kabuki theater to fool people into thinking that these criminals aren’t purposefully destroying us.

I hope they are unsuccessful in stemming the cost of groceries and energy here in the US. People need to suffer and suffer hard in this country. Those who have prepared won’t suffer as much. The snowflakes and those who thought removing Trump was the main goal in 2020 need to be punished.

Once the Inflation Genie is out of the bottle, you cannot put it back.

The Fed can only stem the growth, either quickly and painfully (Depression), or slowly and slightly less painfully like in the 80’s..................

No they aren't. They're still trying to make it infinitely worse with their $3.5T spending package.

Yes, and the more I have seen of this Yellen gal, the more convinced I am that she is evil, not to mention not very convincing of her naivete about the inflation and shortages.

Whaaaaat? The genius experts were wrong (or lying) and the people who have real jobs and live on a budget were right about inflation? Shocking!

A “no confidence” vote on this “administration” is sorely overdue.

Weekly meetings! That will fix inflation. At least Carter took positive action and created gas lines.

Was on phone with a supplier yesterday. He came back from a convention of suppliers. Told me that the talk among them all was to expect huge cost increases in 2022 a lot of which has to do with shipping costs and lack of supply. His quote was “for the first time in 20 years, suppliers have the power to dictate price”.

These are common commodity type stuff used in food, textiles, paint, wax, household goods, etc. Input prices on some of these items are expected to TRIPLE what they were in 2019. There is a lack of supply and increased demand - and increased money supply. Recipe for massive inflation. Myself I’ve been saying it for a while - I expect double digit inflation through the 2 year period ending December 2022. I said 10%+ but I may be low since we’re already at 6% for 2021 (and climbing) so could be 20%-25% inflation at least on the producer input side. How much that will get passed onto the end user remains to be seen. Certainly the cost of delivery is going to force retail prices up. Heck even the USPS had a 10% price increase this month.

I do know that many major public corporations have announced price increases for 2022 but they haven’t afaik set the prices because there is so much uncertainty.

Freeze prices and you will see the shelves be emptied and never refilled.

If producers and retailers cannot make a profit in the face of rising costs they simply will not manufacture the product or if they do the items will be shipped someplace else that does not have price controls.

IOW, we’re gonna just keep right on drilling holes in the boat, and once a week, if we feel like it, we might stuff a was of bubble gum in one of the holes. Did I get that right?

Exactly. Without reliable, cheap electricity and adequate energy, production declines and everything becomes more expensive in real terms. Print dollars and prices rise even higher. Inflation and poverty become the norm. Then again the vile, Marxist, globalists of the Biden cabal wish to destroy capitalism, the nation and deny Americans their liberty, freedom and heritage. Their goal is to transform America into a cog in the globalist, socialist world controlled by elites that they imagine.
