NEW YORK (AP) — The Treasury Department has hired a former JPMorgan Chase executive to head a new government program aimed at combatting racial inequality issues in banking and other financial-services industries.
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Monday that Janis Bowdler will be the department’s first counselor for racial equity, part of a multi-pronged strategy by the Biden administration to deal with systemic racism found in many parts of the economy.
Banking and finance have long had issues with racial inequity, from the lack of representation of Blacks and other minorities at the highest levels of companies to ongoing issues of getting equal access to services for non-white borrowers.
“Treasury must play a central role in ensuring that as our economy recovers from the pandemic, it recovers in a way that addresses the inequalities that existed long before anyone was infected with COVID-19,” Yellen said in a statement.

“Racial equity” is racism on steroids.
Idiocy.
Skin color over merit, again.
Soon look for required applicant details about CRT racial profiling on all bank loans and mortgages.
Welcome to the United Socialist States of Zimbabwe.
Started with odumbo and is now in its third term.
“...getting equal access to services for non-white borrowers.”
Oh, come on. Thirteen years ago, minorities were getting money loaned to them at furious rates. Then that lax money lending turned into a new crime, “predatory lending,” when people without jobs couldn’t service their debt. They had FAR MORE THAN EQUAL access to money services.
When you need a lone we will have two ratings to be examined:
1)Credit Rating
2)Racial Equity Rating
Equity is liberalspeak for socialism.
More like when you need a bank account.
Another subprime mortgage crisis?
Democrats separating the races again
That too.
If you have a low Racial Equity Quotient? No bank account for you!
Refusing to pay attention to the Bell curve has unfortunate consequences.
>>> to deal with systemic racism <<<
A “system” cannot be racist. Individuals can be racists. Who are these racists in the banking and financial services industries? I want names and party affiliation.
...systemic racism found in many parts of the economy.

Love how the writer states this leftist talking point as if it’s a fact.
And I’ll add that I’m getting pretty sick of this word “equity.” It’s too bad words can’t be tarred and feathered.
Woo Hoo!
The economy is saved now, for sure!!!
I think Germany had an office like that in the 30’s.
Systemic racism
Affirmative action
Diversity.
Inclusion
Racism is alive and well in today’s Leftist party.
Communists were never bashful about racism, and nothing has
changed.
Just look at that Communistic Democrat party.
They were:
The vast majority of slave owners...
The vast majority fighting abolition.
The vast majority of the Southerners fighting against the
North and the Emancipation Proclamation in the Civil War.
The vast majority in the creation, implementation and
long standing KKK membership and anti-Black community
efforts. Burning crosses. Beatings. Lynchings. Back
of the bus. Separate eating. Separate drinking.
Separate movie theaters.
The vast majority supporting Jim Crow.
The vast majority supporting segregation.
Now the vast majority trying to use race hatred against
Whites.
They finally let go of the KKK, but never fear, they
now have woke chapters across the nation. Different
name, the same policies of hatred.
The Democrats, equal opportunity haters. Don’t you be
racist for them. They want to be in charge.
Go to any university campus to today, and they’ll be
glad to sign you up.
If you think about it, the mandates costing many people
their job, is just more of the same type of thinking
the Democrats have always been proud of.
