“Our investigators show that Fauci’s NIH division shipped part of a $375,800 grant to a lab in Tunisia to drug beagles and lock their heads in mesh cages filled with hungry sand flies so that the insects could eat them alive,” the non-profit White Coat Waste project told reporters. “They also locked beagles alone in cages in the desert overnight for nine consecutive nights to use them as bait to attract infectious sand flies,” all to test an “experimental drug.”
White Coat Waste also claimed that some of the dogs had their vocal cords removed so their barking would not disturb the attending scientists. Rep. Nancy Mace fired off a letter to the National Institutes of Health, calling the cordectomies “cruel” and a “reprehensible misuse of taxpayer funds.” Mace is a South Carolina Republican but signatories to her letter included Democrats Cindy Axne, Steve Cohen, Jimmy Gomez, Josh Gottheimer, Ted Lieu, Mike Quigley, Lucille Roybal-Allard, Terri Sewell and Eleanor Holmes Norton, plus more than a dozen Republicans, including Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick and Maria Salazar.

That said, it’s too bad people didn’t value human life as much as animal life but if this is what’s needed to take Fauci down, go for it.
People who mistreat animals are bad people.
That’s what I pretty much think. I feel pity for animals that suffer in useless experiments like this - but how much more pitiful are those videos of body bags lining the streets in Wuhan? And people who are STILL ALIVE being dragged out of their houses to go to the hospital, never returning. It would have been easy to discount if it was only in China, but now we have evidence from Australia, France, and of course our own USA.
Those poor beagles did not suffer and die in vain.

As were many perfumes.

I am in no way an expert on God but I believe He observes the treatment of animals by humans and has a strong approval and disapproval of this for each of us.
In the Jewish Holy Scriptures (or Old Testament) the laws of kashrut (kosher rules) dictated to avoid cruelty, an animal had to be “stunned” and “senseless” before a quick slash to slaughter it.
And “milchig separated from fleshig” (dairy kept totally separate from meat including any pots, pans, utensils and dishes) was meant to make certain a mother cow would not be distressed to know her own offspring was being slaughtered——despite the trillions to one chance of that one being the calf she fed with her milk.)
Most of that kind of “testing” has gone away - you know, where they just keep dumping some sort of lotion or shampoo or whatever into the animal’s eyes until it develops a reaction. It caused economic depression in those sectors of society that breed animals JUST so “scientists” can torture them, so that’s another thing the Left can whine about.
Again, there are lots of Democrats willing to volunteer for testing of almost any type as long as they are provided with free food and drugs.
I think that humans are more important than animals.
If there was a fire and I could save a cat or a human, I would save the human.
Scientific experimentation with dogs is not about that choice.
It is not that clear cut.
Is this experimentation necessary? Then explain why.
Using dogs is also problematic.
Millions of people have dogs and cats for pets.
Using them in scientific experiments bothers these pet owners.
Could a different type of animal be used? If not, then explain why.
Moslems and Chinese do not see dogs and cats like pet owners do. They think care for pets is a weakness. They hate us and want to exploit this alleged weakness.
Is China or the Moslems behind these experiments?
Dogs are assumed to be similar to humans. Experiments conducted on them are assumed to be just a step down from experimenting on humans.
But is that so? Are dogs exactly like humans? Can that jump actually be made?
Using dogs or cats for scientific experimentation is a bad idea.
Then Jesus took hold of the man, healed him, and sent him on his way. And He asked them, “Which of you whose son or ox falls into a pit on the Sabbath day will not immediately pull him out?” (Because they criticized him for healing a sick man on the Sabbath day.)
All life is valuable. God created animals as well as man, and not to be tortured.
In the 1960s in college I used to walk past a block long building in Detroit (near Wayne State University).
I found out later that building housed long sled rails used by a car company to test accident damage by various speeds of impacts. Seat belts, bumpers and other items were tested by filming dogs belted onto the sleds and shot out ahead at various speeds.
This cruelty to dogs was uncovered later and they stopped doing it. Living crash test dummies. Horrifying.
