Why is Baldwin not in jail?
At the very least, there is negligence resulting in injured and killed human beings.
If it was a nice world then Schichter would be out of a job.

I have always noted the hypocrisy between Holierthanthouwood on guns in general yet Holierthanthouwood keeps pumping out complete over-the-top gun acrobatics, and complete nonsense regarding the proper handling of lethal weaponry in the products it produces. Whether real, CGI, rubber, whatever... the message is often the same, that guns are toys, mere props. The sci-fi of it all.
I posted in another FR thread that I hoped he will find peace. That is not to say that dislike the man for his childish, egotistical ways and thought process. Critical thinking does not seem to be his way of moving forward in life. He is now learning that cost of fast and loose thinking. I do not think he will better life lessons out of this, but there always a chance.
Bullcrap. Baldwin has pushed for gun control and confiscation for years. If you don’t see that as harmful to constitutional conservatism, well, maybe you should be posting somewhere else.

The bigger issue is how to deal with bullies. Being “nice” does not work - it just emboldens them. Acting like them - they call you names and you call them names back, seems useless. Intelligent, productive people have better things to do than waste their time and energy on that. You are kind of giving the bully the recognition he craves. I think we need to somehow play a different game than them, which is different than both playing “nice” or forever reacting to them.

Maybe it’s the ‘tone’ or something subtle that you miss. One has to be very careful to not imply supremacy or something like it.
Basically, it’s white people working together to simply ‘protect their interests’, like having safe communities and a country that protects its borders and is up to the challenge of our new cold war with China. We tend to think that’s a universal desire of both Democrats and Republicans...and maybe it once was (at least 50 years ago, though), but not anymore. But by thinking it is a universal value, half of the white population can then vote Democrat, thinking that they’ll still be safe and their country and children will be safe.
That simply isn’t true, we know it, but until we can convince the other half of our ‘group’ understand it, we’ll keep losing, and the country will get closer and closer to never being able to recover.
