Maybe it’s the ‘tone’ or something subtle that you miss. One has to be very careful to not imply supremacy or something like it.
Basically, it’s white people working together to simply ‘protect their interests’, like having safe communities and a country that protects its borders and is up to the challenge of our new cold war with China. We tend to think that’s a universal desire of both Democrats and Republicans...and maybe it once was (at least 50 years ago, though), but not anymore. But by thinking it is a universal value, half of the white population can then vote Democrat, thinking that they’ll still be safe and their country and children will be safe.
That simply isn’t true, we know it, but until we can convince the other half of our ‘group’ understand it, we’ll keep losing, and the country will get closer and closer to never being able to recover.
