Fauci: Colin Powell Himself Would Tell You ‘Go Ahead and Get Vaccinated’

Friday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci sounded off on Gen. Colin Powell dying of complications from a reported breakthrough case of COVID-19.

Co-host Willie Geist asked Fauci what he would tell people who argue Powell’s death shows the coronavirus vaccine doesn’t work.

Fauci, noting the “extremely unusual” situation Powell was in due to age and health, said the former Secretary of State himself would tell the vaccine-hesitant to “go ahead and get vaccinated.”

“First of all, it was very unfortunate. General Powell was truly a great, great American, and it’s very sad that he passed away,” Fauci replied. “But, as he himself — I knew General Powell, an extraordinary man — he would tell you himself, go ahead and get vaccinated because it really is a highly protective — his case was extremely unusual. Here’s a man who is in his mid-80s, who had a disease that makes your immune system highly compromised. He was on therapy that further compromises the immune system. So, he was at a much, much higher risk. I don’t think you should extrapolate that to people in general, even elderly people. He got vaccinated.”

Colon Bowel was incompetent as a a military man.

He had us pull out too soon in the first Gulf War, resulting in a second Gulf War years later.

He did not allow the US to use armored vehicles in Somalia, resulting in the Mogadushu disaster with the whole muslim world watching as the dead bodies of US soldiers were dragged through the streets.

He was a fake republican affirmative action political figure who voted for Obama as soon as he could.

This little propagandist is a pure menace to our entire society. A sensible, just society would have put him in prison by now, or at the very least locked him away in some isolation area to ensure he can never show his face on television again. Instead, he will no doubt make several appearances on the Sunday network TV propaganda shows again, in which he will continue to spread his false, constantly-conflicting propaganda and not be able to explain why he has been wrong about literally everything about this virus for 15 solid months now.

I agree with your first statement but the second the Somalia debacle was caused by a civilian Clinton assistant DOD secretary appointee. (As I remember his appointment shocked many “normal” Rats [They don’t exist now!]!) His name escapes me now but he was a long time hard core anti-defense leftist. Wrote many articles criticizing about every defense policy & acquisition from the 1970s through 1980s. He blocked the armor and forced a “joint forces “ rescue action involving Pakistani & Malaysian military forces (Malaysian unit had light armor!). Well you know the rest of the story.
