Former Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) and Republican Glenn Youngkin are locked in a tie with less than two weeks to go until Virginia's gubernatorial election, according to a poll released on Wednesday.

McAuliffe and Youngkin both drew support from 46 percent of registered voters, according to the Monmouth University survey. Additionally, the poll showed Youngkin leading with independent voters, 48 percent to McAuliffe's 39 percent.

Last month's polling from Monmouth showed McAuliffe leading Youngkin 48 percent to 43 percent.

I will be surprised if Youngkin wins. I hope he does but I don't trust it.

this election is being set up to be stolen by the democrats by their cronies’ reporting false polling numbers as they usually do. The Clinton bagman is a shoe in! FJB!!

Polls are commissioned by Ds to determine the level of theft needed.

Headline:

McAuliffe wins by 3%
(just outside the margin requiring a recount)

I’ve seen this playbook far too many times.

… It’s who counts the vote.

Democrats have perfected vote fraud.

I hope to be pleasantly with youngkin win. The poll being tied also means it is highly likely Republicans with retake the House of Delegates!

Youngkin should win. The new poll is registered voters. I want to see likely voters. I believe fairfax county is pulling some shenangigans with their new method of reporting votes so will dump all the votes at once to make sure they have enough to get mcauliffe over the top.

“...the poll showed Youngkin leading with independent voters, 48 percent to McAuliffe’s 39 percent.”

Of course this is just another a poll so who knows but if even close to being true Youngkins lead among Ind is big news.

If Youngkin has now pulled into a tie, very likely Miyares (AG) and Sears (Lt Gov) are as well.

I’m asking ya, fellow FReepers.. I know there’s a lot of doubt out there about electoral integrity, bout would you say a prayer for Virginia anyway?

Youngkin won’t beat the cheat, unfortunately. That has become the most predictable outcome in our elections. Notice how these races always seem tighten up towards the end. Polls are such propaganda anymore.

The only possible way for a non-Dem to win these days is by a large margin-—too large to be ruined by fraud.

This one is too close to call and that always gives the victory advantage to the best cheaters: the Dems.

The Republican needs to be up by 4+ to overcome the inner city fraud.

Yes a big lead on independents is good. However in a blue state (and VA has been in the last few elections) then any election that is close will be stolen for the dem. Dems commit fraud even when they don’t need to. When they need to they REALLY commit fraud.

If it is close, it is an easy steal for the democrats.

ScotinVA, Yes, I will put in a prayer. One thing that gives me hope is that his campaign manager is a quiet professional who has put data guys and lawyers on the hunt. That and the school board issues are running constantly here. VA is the crown jewel in the Democratic fraud machine though. They won’t let it go without a huge fight. He has taken voter integrity activities and put them on over drive.

You beat me to the punch.

McAWFUL’s support from women is not where it needs to be.

From the poll...

“Suburban women, especially in Northern Virginia, have been crucial to the sizable victories Democrats have enjoyed in the commonwealth since 2017. However, their support is not registering at the same level this time around. This is due partly to a shift in key issues important to these voters and partly to dampened enthusiasm among the party faithful,” said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute.
